Updated condo in Glen Arbor with Lake Michigan views, fireplace, deck, W/D

There was no outside lighting to illuminate the 85 steps up to the condo. The entry was easy, keys in lock box as per instructions. The linens were sparse - no extra blankets and only one bath towel each with total of 2. The heat was electric and located in the floors. Condo was cold and breezy despite heat being turned up to 72, temp reading 67. Old, worn out sofa, carpet not clean, bed comfortable but saggy in middle, bathroom had dirt built up in corner. Coffee maker leaked and had to purchase my own filters and coffee but later did find some filters. Not placed in obvious location. The view was spectacular and this made up for most of the cosmetic shortcomings. This would be a cute place with a major cleaning and some updates to furniture, carpet and heating. Five star location, 2 star accommodations.

Comfy up north woods decor. Quiet setting just 10 minute walk to the beach. Clean and well appointed. Great place to host two couples with toddlers. Perfect for our purposes. The beds are beautifully made up. We appreciated having such a nice place to rent for our family.

The view from Logger's Run is exquisite. We've returned five years in a row and could never tire of it and so the trek up the 85 or so steps is worth it. The place is usually very comfortable. Unfortunately, soon after arrival this visit I got a text from Vacasa asking us if we found it clean and in order. We reported finding clothing under one bed and used Kleenex under the other, the first several pans I pulled out of the cupboard were grimy sitting right next to new ones. There was a cobweb on the ceiling near the dining table and dirt in the bathroom corners. We were asked to send photos which we did but never heard back.

Property is lovely. You will earn your stay with over 80 stairs to the door. Very comfortable and well appointed.

We really enjoyed the property, which was warm and comfortable. The separation of the two bedrooms makes the layout very nice. The description matches what the property offers. Views to the lake are incredible. Snowed during our visit but the property steps and parking area were cleared before we got moving in the morning. Highly recommend.

Nicely appointed condo sitting high up on the dune. Beautiful views of Sleeping Bear Bay. We really enjoyed the wood fire fireplace. Glen Arbor is a short drive away.

Great condo! Spacious, clean, huge kitchen, wonderful balcony overlooking Lake Michigan, fireplace. Not for folks with mobility issues, as there are 80+ wooden steps leading up to unit, and no elevator. Sleeping Bear Dunes is not the easiest locale to get to in the USA, but well worth the visit.

We stayed for a family wedding. The property has gorgeous views! The descriptions states upper unit but the 81 stairs to the front door were a lot for my parents- that could have been more clear. If you bring luggage it’s literally 5 flights so I would suggest packing small bags and making many trips. The management company was slow to respond- which was an issue for us. Because of it we did not have internet our entire stay. But the overall set up was nice and perfect for 4 adults!

What a nice place. We had a great time and enjoyed the wonderful view of Lake Michigan!

I’ll start with the few negatives you’ll need to know before coming here- as others have said, the stairs are a hike, and we also found the trash hadn’t been changed and there were still wet towels in the washer and dryer. The fireplace started smoking, even though the flu was open, so I wouldn’t recommend using it or even trying to. That being said, we have been coming to the homestead in Glen Arbor for a decade, and it is our absolute favorite place. It is so beautiful, and the view from atop the trees is stunning. Absolutely recommend, just be mindful of those few things.

People complained about the 82 stairs. i think it is a marvelous way to get wonderful exercise a few times/day. The stunning views make it totally worth it! Kitchen is very well appointed esp for a rental. Carpet is showing a little bit of age and bathrooms are a bit tight. But the bathrooms are really reflective of the era in which they were built and not owners' maintenance or care as the flooring and shower accessories are nice upgrades. We're very likely to stay again! Peaceful lovely location.

We really enjoyed our stay at the condo. It was clean and comfortable and we loved the fabulous view of the Lake….the sunsets were spectacular! The 82 steps may seem intimidating but there are multiple landings between the flights which break up the climb. Definitely worth it for the view!
