The Neighborhood:
Mammoth Lakes is a quaint resort town in California's Sierra Nevada mountains. It's known for the Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain ski areas and nearby trails. The town is a base for Devils Postpile National Monument, a formation of basalt columns, and the soaring Rainbow Falls. To the north, saltwater Mono Lake is dotted with limestone towers and Yosemite National Park, with its granite cliffs and ancient sequoias, is within a 30-45 minute drive.

Majestic in scale and awesome in its natural beauty, the year-round adventureland of Mammoth Lakes is one of those rare places that you have to see to still not totally believe. The name speaks to the size of the mountains, the expanse of the valleys, the incredible number of crystal clear mountain lakes and the endless opportunities for adventure just outside your door. But what makes this place really unique are the surreal storybook scenes that drop jaws, spark the imagination and make every moment feel like a brush with the truly incredible.

Adventure is available year-round in Mammoth Lakes. In fact, there is a lot of debate about which season is best. During winter you can ski and snowboard Mammoth Mountain or take off into the wilderness on your cross country skis. When spring hits, you can ski and also celebrate the fishing opener in the same day. The summer melts away the snow, opening two scenic golf courses, roads to Devils Postpile National Monument, 101-foot Rainbow Falls and the gateway to Yosemite National Park. Some claim autumn is the best season because you get all of the sightseeing of summer PLUS spectacular fall colors and fewer visitors. No matter what time of year you visit, there are plenty of things to do in Mammoth Lakes.

You’ll definitely work up an appetite and thirst having adventures and exploring our incredible natural landscapes. Luckily, there are Mammoth Lakes restaurants for every palate. Whether you’re craving innovative brewpub grub, a perfectly prepared steak or delicious Mexican-Latin fusion cuisine, restaurants in Mammoth Lakes offer all kinds of deliciousness for you to enjoy during your visit.

Book your unforgettable trip today!!!

Location was just what we were looking for to walk to Canton Lodge. Our stay was just great and provided ample space for our two families (4 adults, 4 children). It was just a quick drive down the hill to restaurants and stores. We were there during very low temperatures and the hot water did have a little trouble keeping up with our showers but we managed by giving a little extra time between. Overall this place was great! Nate was super responsive which was to know he was there to help.

We absolutely loved staying here! The condo is beautiful, and you can’t beat the location. Full kitchen with lots available to use for cooking, rec center access was great, and parking is very convenient! Overall 5 stars and I look forward to staying at Patti and Nate’s again.

This is our 3rd trip to this awesome condo. We cook almost all of our meals here and spend our days on the slope. At night, we are back, playing our card or board games then off to bed. The kids enjoy watching movie and playing their video games in the living room, and the house and nice and toasty and a cozy place to spend our time. From the condo, it's a short walk to Canyon Lodge so we never have to drive. The house has everything we need from toilet paper, paper towel, tissue and all the trash bags you need. My first two times, I didn't really look for anything but last time I needed another trash bag and opened some cupboards and that's the first time I realized how well stock the place is. There are a lot of spices and oil and such. There is even a brand new cup of coffee ready to be grind (grinder also provided). We never really venture to the hot tub but it's a short walk from the unit and there are towels in the unit for the hot tubs.We think we found the one. The unit where we hope to keep coming back to. Small part of me wants to be selfish and not write the review so no one knows about this gem but I owe it to the owners for sharing their awesome home. Nate is also really quick to respond too and is always helpful and friendly. Thanks again for another wonderful stay, Nate! Thanks for sharing your home (we love all the books for the kids!)

We really enjoyed our stay at this place thanks in great part to the easy access to the ski slopes. The advertised 6-min walk to the Canyon Lodge is for real. The hot tub is right across the parking lot and is a great way to relax after a day on the slopes. THe apartment is well furnished and clean.

Used this property as a base for a Yosemite motorcycle trip. It’s close to everything and roomy enough for 7 adults. The place was clean and quiet and we had no issues. I definitely recommend. Thanks for a memorable experience.
