Isla Del Sol - meaning Island of the Sun, is an island community on a tropical barrier island surrounded by Boca Ciega Bay and nestled between the southernmost tip of St Petersburg and St Pete Beach, Florida. This island community has many different condo neighborhoods each with beautiful tropical landscaping, heated pools, spas, clubhouses, some with private beaches and water views everywhere you look. Biking and walking trails will take you from your condo to the Shopper's Village and around the golf course of the private Isla Del Sol Yacht and Country Club.

'The Island' is just minutes from the warm, turquoise waters and the many beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, Fort DeSoto Park and Fort DeSoto's North Beach, voted one of America's top beaches. Tons of shops, restaurants and many exciting things to do are just a short drive across the Bayway Bridge to Gulf Blvd. Explore historic Pass-a-Grille beach and the bustling St Pete Beach or drive up the coast following Gulf Blvd through Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, Redington Beach, Indian Shores, Indian Rocks Beach, Belleair Shores all the way to Clearwater Beach to see what adventures you may find! It's also just a quick drive to I-275 to the experience all that Downtown St Petersburg has to offer.

St. Pete Beach, the most southern link in a chain of barrier islands that make up the Tampa Bay Sun Coast, offers residents and visitors miles of pristine white sandy beaches that border the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. St. Pete Beach, formerly known as St. Petersburg Beach, has a wide variety of accommodations ranging from large scale resorts to the classic Florida 'mom and pop' vintage motels that bring back memories of old Florida. The city was incorporated in 1957 with the consolidation of the Towns of Pass-a-Grille, Don CeSar, Belle Vista, St. Petersburg Beach and unincorporated Pinellas County to become the “City of St. Petersburg Beach.”

In 1994, the citizens voted to shorten the name to “St. Pete Beach” to lessen the confusion with the City of St. Petersburg, located on the mainland to the east. The City of St. Pete Beach is located just off the Pinellas County mainland of Saint Petersburg, just south of Treasure Island, 20 miles from Clearwater Beach and within 30 miles of both St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport and Tampa International Airport. With year-round sunshine, an abundance of recreational activities, restaurants, and shopping, St. Pete Beach is one of the most enjoyable places to live and vacation, in the world.

Enjoyed the view of this fully stocked condo. The location of the condo was very convient but the noise from the traffic on the bridge was a bit distracting. The owners were great with any questions & communication.

This condo is clean, spacious, and beautifully furnished in a beachy style. The water view is a plus. Pool/hot tub are clean and just the perfect temperature! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need to whip up your dinner. Hosts were terrific to work with; they responded immediately to our questions.

We loved our month of March in this beautifully decorated condo unit. The top floor views were fabulous with many gorgeous sunsets, dolphin sightings, and cool breezes. The owners were prompt and helpful with any questions. We definitely hope to return to this place of paradise.

The place was very clean and had everything we needed. The location was outstanding for walking and biking. Cabinets, appliances, and fixtures are good but are getting a little dated. Still everything was in good working order.

The property is amazing! We saw dolphins several times swim by from balcony. Clean , fully stocked , conviently located to everything ! Something to the consider is bring lots of dolllar bills and quarters for the constant tolls. Also , there was no check out list . We did not clean under the furniture apparently and lost $100. 00 of our deposit due to sand , shells and popcorn being under there . Be sure to MOVE the furniture . Seems quite ridiculous to me . Otherwise it was an amazing stay !

The property was in good condition for the most part. There were some problems with singing pipes in the master bathroom along with a faucet assembly that pulled out of the wall when turning on the water. Steve and Tricia appear to be very nice people who responded promptly to our questions. There was one major problem. Two days after we arrived, Feb. 1, notices were posted that the building was going to be repainted beginning Feb. 7. The entire exterior of the building facing the parking lot was then covered in plastic and painter's tape including the walkways and stairwells. Beginning Feb. 7, we were awakened every day to the sound of pressure washers, generators, paint sprayers and workmen doing their job until 5:00 p.m. that evening. This went on for the remainder of our stay. Relaxing, NO! One day, we were actually taped in to the condo with plastic and tape covering the front door. We believe we should have been notified by the owners that this painting was going to occur. Obviously, they had advanced knowledge of this, probably several months. As the owner's sister sat on the executive board of this condo assn., they had knowledge that this painting was going to occur several months in advance. We should have been advised nd given the opportunity to cancel our reservation for a full refund. We were not provided that opportunity. VRBO, for its part, has been most unhelpful. We contacted them several time during our abbreviated stay (we left 4 days early), opened a case file and were advised that we deserved some compensation for our inconvenience. They suggested that we contact the owners. That is VRBO's job. We ill NEVER trust a VRBO listing again. Buyer Beware!
