The Neighborhood:

The Finest of Bites:

Only a few blocks away from the Hardy House is Milkwood restaurant, headed by internationally acclaimed celebrity chef, and James Beard Award Winner, Edward Lee has been on NBC’s prestigious, Top Chef. Vincenzo’s is one of the finest Italian restaurants in the region, while Proof on Main offers cutting-edge fusion fine dining. Righ on Fourth Street is Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse and Brazeiro’s Churrascaria, a smart Brazilian steakhouse. The English Grill and the Oakroom are expert at classical American fine dining, while Rivue has mastered the art of seafood and steaks.

An Entertaining and Serene Downtown Neighborhood:

Fourth Street is downtown Louisville’s place for generations of diners, shoppers, theater-goers and urbanites to see and be seen. Check out a show at the historic Louisville Palace. Opened in 1928, the theatre is a lavish Spanish Baroque Revival style with fountains, statues and tapestries. Also, in the immediate area are Louisville Ghost Tours, Locked In: The Louisville Escape Game, and Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse.

With its unique streetscape program and a collection of museums and cultural institutions, you will enjoy Main Street’s vitality and creative energy, from its 120 foot bat to the red penguins roaming its rooftops. “Museum Row,” downtown’s West Main Street is home to nearly myriad attractions in one historic neighborhood, located a block south of the Ohio River.

America’s second largest collection of Victorian cast-iron facades. Only New York City’s SoHo district has more 19th century cast-iron storefronts.

These must-see attractions include the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory, Muhammad Ali Center, Frazier History Museum, Kentucky Science Center and more. Bourbon enthusiasts will enjoy the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience and this area will also be the home of Michter's Distillery. Art lovers will enjoy: Glassworks, KMAC, 21c Museum Hotel, Actor’s Theatre of Louisville and The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts. Not to mention the KFC Yum! Center, a multi-purpose sports and concert arena, located downtown.

This suite is also conveniently a few minutes ride from the shops and galleries of NuLu, the beauty of Cherokee Park, the University of Louisville, Bardstown Road and Frankfort Avenue, and Churchill Downs racetrack.

We provide 1 (one) parking pass to a parking garage located to the right of the building. This is for you to use during the duration of your stay. Getting around is easy! We have access to car services like Lyft, Uber and local taxis. Additionally, LouVelo (a bike share app) and Bird Scooters are located around downtown.

Other Things to Note:

This is a great location downtown. Very central to everything. Place is cute and well maintained. It’s a secured building so it feels very safe and private.

The location is convenient but be aware when walking in the area. The district has a high number of homeless and mentally ill people in the area.

This was a great place to stay. Close to 4th street live and many restaurants. The place was clean and had everything you would need. The only con is you have to go into the condo to get the garage pass before you can get into the garage. This would be hard if you were by yourself and there was no available parking out front. The parking garage was a short walk to the condo, not bad at all. I would definitely stay there again.

We couldn't get over the location - right next to the Palace & Mercury Ballroom. We were able to get anywhere downtown within minutes. The place itself was great too. Everything we needed was in the condo. I would stay again if given the option.

Gaining access to the condo was not as simple as the description suggested. But that was a minor hiccup. The space was clean nicely, decorated, and spacious. And easily accessible to attractions.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Only downfall is the parking location is a little far but that location is not much parking to start with.

We were there in the quiet season for Louisville and enjoyed a weekend near downtown. Quick access to other neighborhoods and easy to explore the city. The place was cozy and convenient for us.

We enjoyed the stay. Everything was clean and tidy. Location was great. We saw a concert next door at the Palace Theater. It took us a day to figure out that you had to wake up the door code box by hitting the pound key and then entering the code starting with another pound key. we recommend this VRBO.

There needs to be better written communication as to what code goes to what door along with the parking garage instructions... clean very stylish but not very comfortable
