The Neighborhood:

“From its early beginnings during the Gold Rush era, The Mile High City has always been a gathering place for diverse and creative people. Today, Denver is an outdoor city with a vibrant, walkable downtown offering urban adventures for all ages. Within a one-mile radius, you can kayak on the Platte River; explore some of the city’s best museums; shop at art galleries and boutiques; see a Broadway touring show; enjoy live music; ride a rollercoaster or cool off in a water park; and experience exciting professional sports. Downtown is also home to many of Denver’s top farm-to-table restaurants and innovative craft breweries, and the Denver Beer Trail is a great guide to sampling those local brews.

Downtown’s free 16th Street Mall shuttle makes it even easier to get around. Visit Larimer Square and the newly renovated Denver Union Station in historic Lower Downtown (Lodo), where Victorian buildings now house restaurants, galleries, shops, bars, brewpubs and coffee houses, or head to Denver Pavilions where you’ll find shops, restaurants, bars and a movie theater.

You can also discover Denver’s neighborhoods by bike or electric scooter, and don’t miss the chance for a photo with everyone’s favorite Blue Bear public art sculpture greeting visitors at the Colorado Convention Center.”

Bigger than you would expect, plus it had 2 patios to hangout on! Great host communication and prompt responses. Only improvement would be more than 2 FOBs or a place to leave the FOB in lobby in case another group member returned early. Otherwise your group had to stay in 2 groups at all times or have someone in the loft to let you back in. But this is minor, the place was nice and our large group of friends never felt cramped.

Great place and location, just two blocks from the convention center. The place is a lot bigger than you expect from looking at the pictures.Highly recommend. I will be back.

The property is beautiful. Impressive. Spacious. Clean. Initial impression: WOW. If you want to impress guests, this is your place. Check-in process in terms of availability and timeliness of the employee was great--just that the fob system was not a good check-in surprise. That said, the neighborhood is iffy--I got lost once at night when my phone's walking directions were actually driving directions, and at one point I felt truly terrified. The fob system (2 per group) left us locked out twice when co-workers either (a) did not understand the system or (b) forgot to leave a fob in the condo's lock box in a mad rush to a morning meeting down the street. At one point, we took trash to the garage and did not take phones with us for the quick errand--only to have the elevator refuse to open. Went to the bar next door to try to call maintenance to let us in (they said this has happened before), but all info about VRBO/condo was on our phones and there was no phone number listed nor a way to use a phone in the lobby. Finally we realized we could use the security box outside to try to call and ask for codes to the staircase/floor door. The fireplace did not work--truly disappointing because we had lovely snow outside. There were elaborate directions for how to use the fireplace which made us suspect our problem was not a new one. Same with instructions inside the elevator. The building had a garage with a designated spot for our unit that we saw when taking out trash, but no parking was offered with the listing. So add $59/day at the Sheraton to park or about $16 at the lot nearby if you bring a car and are willing to leave it out overnight in that neighborhood. The place itself was wonderful, but these surprises made the experience less than ideal for a group of business-women attending a conference. Oh, and bring your own good-quality toilet paper if you dislike rice-paper thickness. Also, eye shades, if you like it dark—the shades on windows are not thick enough to make the suites truly dark, though the bunk-bed room was great for that. For the person in the group who likes temps cooler, the king room stayed a lot warmer than the double-suite, even at night.

Front desk was great. Place was clean. Good location. Only gripe is you pay a lot for what amounts to a 3 bedroom place, hence the 4 starts. No real amenities. If you were gonna hang out and party in the place? Sure, good to go. But you’re not allowed to party lol. You basically sign a lease. You’re essentially paying for a roof, walls, and some beds and a bunch of air mattresses. Just a little pricey. Roof access? More money. Game room? More money. Move any furniture? More money. Live TV? More money. Overall ,we enjoyed our stay and it got the job done. Just a bit over priced for what you actually end up with.
