The Space:
A 3-bedroom, 3-bath condo at the foot of CBMR — built for a ski family of up to 6 who want to walk to the lift in ski boots, not load the SUV every morning. Renovated interiors, natural light in every room, and a balcony facing Mt. Crested Butte.

Sectional sofa around a wood-burning fireplace, smart TV, wool throws, and a wall of windows over the mountain. The default gathering spot when the skis come off.

SHARED PLAZA AMENITIES (all Plaza guests):
✔ TWO hot tubs — indoor (pool area) + outdoor (3rd-floor deck), open 365 days
✔ Sauna and steam room (inside the pool area)
✔ Pool table in the lobby hangout
✔ Tennis and pickleball courts with mountain views
✔ Elevator access, lobby ski-bike storage with partner Butte & Co.
✔ 1 covered parking space per reservation
3 PROS:
✔ The 3-minute walk to the lifts really is 3 minutes — we've timed it in ski boots
✔ 3 separate bedrooms + 3 full baths means no one sleeps on a sofa and no 7am bathroom queue
✔ Indoor pool table + sauna + steam room make rest days easy with kids — rare combo at this price
2 CONS:
✔ Both hot tubs are shared — peak après (4–6pm) can get busy. Indoor tub is usually quieter; outdoor tub has no mountain view — it's tucked on the deck
✔ No A/C — rarely needed at 9,400 ft, but south-facing rooms warm up midday. Ceiling fans + open windows handle it
Guest Access:
Full private access to the 3-bedroom condo. Self check-in via keypad — code and arrival instructions sent through our digital guidebook before arrival. Elevator from the covered parking level to the unit — no stairs with bags.

The Neighborhood:
You're in Mt. Crested Butte — the base village at the foot of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. The Plaza sits at the center of it: lifts, après-ski restaurants, coffee shops, and gear rentals all within a 5-minute walk.
In summer, the village is a mountain-biking and hiking hub with chairlift-accessed singletrack and the Wildflower Festival (Crested Butte is Colorado's official Wildflower Capital).
Historic downtown Crested Butte is 3 miles down-valley. Elk Avenue's preserved Victorian main street has the best small-town dining in Colorado — Secret Stash pizza, Sunflower, Soupçon — plus galleries, bars, and a free shuttle from the village so nobody has to drive home.
» 3-min walk ➔ CBMR lifts
» 2-min walk ➔ Mountaineer Square (dining, shops, gear)
» 10-min free bus ➔ Downtown Crested Butte / Elk Avenue
» 15-min drive ➔ Snodgrass & Woods Walk trailheads
» 25-min drive ➔ Kebler Pass (Sep aspens, summer only)
Getting Around:
You don't need a car to ski — walk to the lifts, take the free Mountain Express shuttle downtown. A car helps for trailheads, grocery runs to Clark's Market, and day trips to Kebler Pass.
- Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC): 35-min drive — seasonal direct flights from Denver, Houston, Dallas
- Denver International (DEN): 4.5-hr drive — shuttle services available (Alpine Express, Dolly's)
- Free Mountain Express shuttle: runs between Mountaineer Square and downtown every 15 min year-round
- Rideshare: Uber/Lyft available but limited, especially late night — shuttle is more reliable
- Winter driving: Hwy 135 is well-maintained; AWD/4WD or chains recommended during storms
- Parking: 1 covered spot per reservation at The Plaza; second car parks in the uncovered building lot
Other Things to Note:
HONEST DISCLOSURES — so there are no surprises:
3 PROS worth knowing:
- The walk to the lifts really is 3 minutes — we've timed it in ski boots.
- Three separate bedrooms + three full bathrooms means everyone gets a real bed and nobody queues for a shower at 7am on a ski morning.
- The Plaza's indoor amenities (two hot tubs, sauna, steam room, pool table) make rest days easy with kids — a rare combo at this price point.
2 CONS worth knowing:
- Both hot tubs are shared with other Plaza guests — peak après (4–6pm) can get busy. The indoor tub is usually quieter. The outdoor tub does not have a mountain view — it's tucked on the deck.
- No A/C — summer highs rarely break the mid-70s so it's seldom an issue, but south-facing rooms can warm up midday. Open windows + ceiling fans handle it.
OTHER:
- Elevation ~9,400 ft — hydrate aggressively day one, go easy on alcohol that first night.
- 1 covered parking spot per reservation; second car parks in the uncovered building lot.
- Wood-burning fireplace — controls inside the unit.
- Quiet hours 10pm–8am (HOA).
- No smoking, no parties, no unregistered guests. Pet policy per booking.
