Stayed Oct 2, 2025The location is terrific. Downtown location but still quiet. You can walk everywhere. I had to contact the hosts a few times and they were responsive. Problems with some doors that were on the fix list but they would not close. The main issue was their response to exterior door lock. The batteries died and at least one night the unit was not secure. They did not come and replace the batteries but told us where the batteries were and we could switch them out. There were no batteries. As a host their main concern should be the guests safety. I would suggest for future guests that the batteries are changed regularly.

Stayed Aug 23, 2025Cannot recommend this property. To enter the unit you have to go through the courtyard of a brewery past people smoking, then you have to walk through overgrown weeds to get to the door. The unit was in very poor condition, as evidenced by the attached photos. There were cobwebs and spiderwebs everywhere. It looked as if it hadn't truly been cleaned in a long, long while. The doors do not shut properly and the floors creak to the point you wake up other walking on them. The furniture was stained and in overall poor condition. To top it off, the top drawer of the first bedroom was full of undergarments and credit cards. Please do your research prior to making a choice of where to stay in Downtown Asheville.

Stayed Apr 12, 2025Property was ok. Location is excellent, unit is strange set up. Basement/living room great for families with kids, pointless for adults. Nicely equipped, try using some fabric softener on the towels… like drying off with sandpaper. Overall good place, pricey for the overall experience.

Stayed Sep 6, 2024Location is excellent. Just steps to the Asheville Music Hall and the downtown shops, restaurants and bars, and only a short walk to Wicked Weed, the Orange Peel, etc. And it was surprisingly quiet considering the location. What recommends this property ends there. The floors were not clean, especially in the corners of the rooms (suggesting that the vacuuming was done by Roomba rather than an upright). There were several spiders and spiderwebs on the walls and in the corners, especially in the downstairs area. Dead bugs were smeared on the walls. The layout is odd and inconvenient, as were the design choices (with a large dining table taking up most of the main floor living room). The lamination on one of the bedroom dressers has come unglued and is splintering (embedding a fairly large splinter under one of my fingernails). A previous renter left underwear and other clothes (clean?) in one of the dresser drawers. The cupboards seemed unusually bare for a typical VRBO. Perhaps the previous renters left the property late and there was no time to clean or restock before our arrival? Finally, the owner seems oddly concerned about the number of clothes hangers expected to remain in each room at checkout … and the number of the counting shall be 10. 11 shalt thou not count, neither count thou 9, excepting that thou then proceed to 10.

Stayed Sep 14, 2024Awesome location. Beds were comfortable and showers were awesome. The doors need to be adjusted. The master bathroom door hinges were very loose which made the door hard to close. Other than that it was awesome.

Stayed Jun 11, 2024We loved our stay here! We had two families and it was great to have the kids down stairs and the adults on the main floor. The location was also wonderful, walkable to so much in the city!

Stayed Apr 6, 2024The layout of this condo is odd, but for our group it worked perfectly. Neighborhood was great! We were within walking distance of great restaurants and all the things we were there for. Beds were comfortable!!!

Stayed Oct 5, 2023The property is in a great location, you can walk anywhere downtown. The kitchen is well appointed and the bedrooms are cozy, each has a sound machine. The instructions were very clear on finding and entering the property and parking. The negatives are the lack of windows (only 1) and the strange layout with one if the bathrooms downstairs. Could definitely be updated but overall served its purpose.

Stayed Jun 11, 2023This property has a ton of space and is a very short walk to pretty much anywhere in downtown Asheville. It was well stocked with the basics (soap, paper products, coffee, etc.) The only issue we had was resolved very quickly with an email. The split layout was a little odd, but that's what happens when old buildings get repurposed and renovated. We had no issues with noise from street traffic, the pub, or the other apartments.

Stayed Jun 2, 20238 friends stayed here and we had a great time. This is located walking distance to many great restaurants & lots of good shopping, coffee shops, bars, and whatever you might want from your downtown Asheville stay. The Sears Alley Parking Garage was $10/day and a just a few blocks away. It’s a very short drive (or long walk) to the River Arts District which has free parking. The rental has 2 big king beds and one queen as well as 2 queen sleeper sofas. The owner left us a queen air mattress as well per our request, so we had plenty of space to spread out and sleep comfortably. The main floor has a big dining table and open kitchen where we all had some breakfasts and cocktail hours. The entryway is not pretty, but once you’re inside it’s unique and quite nicely decorated. Washer, dryer, and dishwasher provided with detergent pods. Owner also provided paper goods, soap, hairdryer, plates, glasses, utensils, toaster oven, and everything else we needed. They even have a great noise machine in the bedrooms which worked great (we didn’t hear any outside noise but with this machine I didn’t hear my friends who woke up before me). Overall I would definitely recommend this rental for a great time in downtown Asheville!
