Stayed Feb 15, 2026We had an amazing stay at The Icelander (above Canyon Lodge) in Mammoth Lakes. The location is hard to beat—super close to the lifts (Canyon/Eagle area) and made everything feel easy, whether we were heading out for the day or coming back to crash.Inside, the place is both stylish and genuinely comfortable. The living area is perfect for a group: big TV, tons of seating, and a cozy fireplace that made evenings feel extra relaxing. The windows and balcony views of the trees were a highlight—especially at dusk when everything outside looks like a postcard.The kitchen is modern and well-equipped (full-size fridge, great counter space), and we loved having a proper dining area to gather for meals and games. Every room has a tv so all tastes can been served simultaneously. And there’s even a PlayStation for added entertainment! With 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, our group had plenty of space, and the washer/dryer was a huge bonus.Clean, comfortable, and exactly the kind of place you want after a long day in Mammoth. I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming with friends or family.
