So many things on the property were in disrepair. The house smelled of cigarettes and there was a lot of noise in the neighborhood. The apartment needs some maintenance and just some general care. The location was central but I would not recommend the place.
Well maintained, clean, convenient.
The condo was in a location convenient to the college and the football stadium. (We even walked the two miles after the game to avoid waiting in traffic). Parking was easy and close. The property was clean, and the beds were comfortable.
Location was excellent, unit comfortable, but the cigarette smoke smell ruined the stay for us. Floor was mushy and uneven throughout the unit. Definitely needs renovation throughout.
Great!
Needed an affordable place to stay for one night and this was perfect.
Like title says bed was very uncomfortable in the master room. Would not rent again due to bed comfort
I am not from North Carolina therefore I am uncertain of the good and bad locations there. At first glance, when booking my husband and I thought the condo was small and quaint. It was two bedrooms and gave a homey feel. This was my second time utilizing VRBO and the first time was so amazing it set a very high standard for my family. However; as we pulled up immediately we realized why there were not many pictures of the grounds. The area is NOT suitable for individuals that are concerned about safety and security. My husband and I were NOT comfortable AT ALL. There were people hanging out on the steps and the area was NOT clean. Considering we are from out of town, this was NOT the area we wanted our children to experience while in North Carolina. Considering what you consider acceptable, this is NOT a place that was conducive to what my family was use to at all. As we walked in, the smell that met us at the door was enough to stop us in our tracks. My son suffers from allergies and immediately the smell that lingered (thick cigarette smell) immediately began to burn his eyes and make him sneeze. I immediately called the individual we confirmed with and explained the situation. He was not very accommodating! He said to open the windows and refused a refund. As we looked around, the walls were dirty with various holes and rocky paint. The floors were uneven as if they just placed planks on the floor without care. We all had phone chargers and many of the sockets did not work. Both rooms were neat however the couch in the bedroom was broken, dirty, and unappealing. Closet doors displayed dirty paint and were thrown up while broken. The balcony door did not secure properly to make me feel our luggage would be safe as we left to show the family North Carolina. Due to the area, we made it a point to come in early to not have the night fall on us. The instructions stated after 10pm is quiet time. Not at this location, clearly. After 10pm there were lots of yelling and loud music coming from the parking lot. It was definitely disturbing and very frustrating. The bathroom was probably the most disturbing part of the condo. The tub had water leaking from the disgusting faucet that had accumulated white crud and rust as it leaked. Mold sat in the corners of the tub and when the water was started, a gigantic centipede floated out from the curtain. The bottom of the tub displayed pealing plastic which was unacceptable to step in. NEVER AGAIN!
Tom was very helpful and super nice. Apartment was exactly as listed, clean and great location!
We left an hour after we arrived and received a partial refund. The property manager is kind and a quick communicator, but the unit smelled too strongly of smoke for us to comfortably stay. I would not stay here if the smell of cigarette smoke bothers you. The property manager says the smell comes from the neighbors, but it’s evident through out the space. It should not be marked as non-smoking.
The condo was a very reasonable nightly rate, but it had many issues. It is quite tired, looks like it has had a lot of college parties, close to NCSU, in its past, and the owners have tried their best to cover the wear! The floor is very uneven to walk on, the TV remotes did not work, there are no screens on the windows or sliding doors. The kitchen is very small and difficult to cook in due to little counter space and lack of bowls and toaster. The owner, Tom, was very easy to work with, and assured us that he would try to fix some of the problems for future renters.
My sister and two young teenagers and myself arrived to find an apartment saturated with cigarette smoke through out. Then my sister found a long black hair on her pillow in one of the bedrooms. We sat down to eat and noticed ALL of the flatware and dishes were poorly washed. Long black hair also in the refrigerator. The downstairs tenants were extremly loud, on drugs, and one taken away in an ambulance. Pot smoke somehow filled the living room almost constantly from down below. Couldn’t wait to leave.
