I was pleased with how the images accurately showed the space, and the location had very easy access to the highway, parks, and town. Some small updates could be made to improve overall accessibility, such as a review of outlet locations. But I was overall very pleased and comfortable during my stay.

Probably a new mattress, a nice Casper mattress like we slept on the night before, perfect place for what we were looking for

My husband and I booked the vacation rental for two nights so that we could take a day trip to Crater Lake (a little over two hours south). First of all the complex was having the exterior painted, and Bend Riverside Reality was very up front with the process. They were painting near our patio, but we were not really inconvenience. We saw the workers and equipment said “hi” and still enjoyed the view of the Deschutes River. Upon entering the unit we noticed that it had been considerably updated. Looked very nice, but unfortunately my husband and I both noticed it smelled old and musty. The nicely equipped kitchen area was a very welcomed update to unit! The queen sized Murthy bed was however the most unpleasant for sleeping. The queen size wasn’t so much the issue as my husband and I had slept on a queen sized bed for most of our 45 years together. But the real issue we had was that it was without a doubt the hardest bed we have ever slept on. We joked the floor would be more comfortable. A couple of minor things we noticed…the area between the Murphy bed and the wall was not clean. My husband said to be careful and not drop a pillow as it would get dirty. And the last thing, the screen door to the patio had a sizable hole by the handle. We would have just had just the screen, glass door pushed back, in evening/early mornings but afraid insects, especially mosquitoes could enter the unit. We loved the location and size of the unit, but that Murphy bed was just too uncomfortable to want to stay again.

This is a decent hotel-room sized space with a nice small kitchen. However, take note: we saw the pictures online and assumed we could access the river, but this is not the case. We brought paddleboards but there is a spillway damn upriver and downriver. You don’t want to put in here. This property also does not extend to the river (it’s fenced off and there is a short cliff before you can reach the water). So don’t expect river access. Otherwise it’s a decent location. We took our shoes off when we got in and noticed the bottoms of our feet turned black, so the floors need to be washed. Some of the other rooms had barking dogs which is always frustrating but that’s not this rooms’s fault. Unfortunately, there was an internet outage on our first day. We had wi-fi the second day, but it was out again on day three. So don’t plan for wi-fi. Last note: the tv is not visible from the bed, one needs to view it from the other side of the room.
