Kahana Reef is a quaint oceanfront property centrally located in Kahana. This property is a guest favorite year after year. On-property amenities include an oceanfront pool, BBQ's, lounging, and of course, the breathtaking views! Restaurants, markets, shopping, and golfing all within minutes!

As youenter Kahana Reef 205, you are drawn to the floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open to your private Ocean view lanai overlooking the tranquil pool. With outdoor seating for four, enjoy your peaceful morning coffee while relaxing to the soothing sounds of the waves. Or dine alfresco with the backdrop of a memorable Maui sunset.

The cozy living area is a great place to kick up your feet after a fun-filled day on Maui. Complete with a flat-screen smart TV. There is a queen-size Murphy bed to comfortably sleep 2 additional guests.

In September 2025, a new couch and updated furnishings were added to enhance comfort and style.

With views from the kitchen, no one will mind cooking in this condo! Fully equipped with plate ware and utensils as well as all of the cooking items any chef would need. Complete with an eat-up breakfast bar, enjoy conversing while whipping up a meal.

Drift off to sleep in this beautifully decorated primary bedroom. Complete with a king bed and flat-screen Smart TV.
The bath offers a shower/tub combo.

    I stayed at Kahana Reef for 7 nights, and I was disappointed given what the rental unit cost me, I expected more. PROSThe view and location were as advertised. Both beds were functional, and there were also some beach toys for the kids to use!CONSThe unit contains items, furniture, and appliances that are severely outdated and not clean. The fan spewed dirt and dust everywhere. The floors weren't sufficiently clean when we arrived. The couch was absolutely disgusting and needs to be replaced. I'm not sure how someone could rent out this place for hundreds of dollars a night when the couch has tons of disgusting stains on it. I could go on but I think you get the idea.Overall, the experience was a letdown. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

    Kahana Reef is a fantastic location for whale watching and sea turtle viewing. The unit is well stocked for a relaxing time, including kitchen supplies to cook meals there. We enjoyed easy access to a small beach, along with the pool.

    I was very pleased with my stay at the condo. The unit was very clean, up to date, with an awesome ocean view. Conveniently located, gas station / mini mart close by, and a 20 minute drive from Kaanapali. I would definitely come back and stay again.

    We love this area of the West (some say Best!) Side. The clear view of the ocean to watch whales was perfect. The hot water heater for the unit went out on Friday night of Easter Weekend. We notified the property manager and they had a new hot water heater installed by Saturday evening. We were so grateful.

    Photos accurate. Management company friendly and good communication. Safe neighborhood. Only drawback is you need to drive and try to find parking for larger family beaches.

    Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Kahana Reef 205 for 9 nights and we're very happy with the amenities and beautiful view of the ocean. The Murphy bed was one of the reasons we chose this place. It allowed my grown daughter to have a queen-size bed without having to sleep on a sofa bed. It was a new mattress and very comfortable. The furniture was simple and updated. The only thing we had a problem with was the blinds in the bedroom. They did not open easily and were missing a few slats, so they didn't close all the way. Luckily I brought an eye mask, so that wasn't too much of a problem. Also, the bathtub drain was somewhat clogged. I had to pull out someone else's hair to help it drain better, but I think the clog was deeper down. Those were the only reasons for the two 4s. It was in a great location and within walking distance of a few stores. This was our second time staying and Kahana Reef and for the price, you can't beat it!

    The property was clean and had a lot of nice amenities, great view from the balcony. Giving it a four star rating because it's owned by a real estate company not based in Hawaii which takes away from the already limited housing market for people who actually live there.
