Stayed Jun 19, 2025First I must say Coldwell Banker Island Management Company were excellent to deal with. They quickly sent out maintenance for fridge issues and corrected the problems that they could. Unfortunately this unit was disappointing. We were a group of 19 that rented 4 condos in the KKSRC. This unit was by far the most expensive and had the most issues. The views from the lanai were gorgeous and the location of KKSRC is amazing, close to an incredible snorkel beach and short drive to white sand beaches. Downside... the condo itself needs a lot of TLC. Lots of wear and tear, broken screens, torn weather stripping which made locking the door difficult, cabinets hanging on hinges. It was okay if you want ocean front but nothing fancy. Poorly stocked with no coolers, limited dishes and other things you may need on vacation. It was clean and beds were comfortable, but in the future would probably pick a different condo in the KKSRC.

Stayed May 11, 2025The property is just o.k. It served the purpose we needed for our stay in Kona. The unit could use some serious updating though. The furniture is all quite worn. While it provides a good number of beds, some of the beds are quite squeaky. There are places on a couple of the walls where it appears that pictures (or something similar) were hanging that are no longer there...but the nails that once held them up are still in the walls. The location is great and it is in a great community. The unit does have a spectacular view on the patio. The furniture on the patio is quite nice, but the counter space on the patio looks like it is about to fall over...so we didn't even think about putting anything on it. Overall, an o.k. place to stay...but don't expect anything exceptional.

Stayed Dec 2, 2024Overall the condo was fine, it had been updated in the last 10 years but it really needs some basic maintenance. Unit lacked usable broom, dust pan, vacuum, broken blender, and basic cleaning supplies (nothing to sanitize counters and floors after the ants and cockroaches, no laundry detergent). Oven bake mode did not work but we were able to use convection bake. Screen doors and sliders are very difficult to open and close. King size bed was very comfortable and you can’t beat the view.

Stayed Nov 4, 2024A beautiful setting and great view of the ocean. We appreciated the covered lanai to eat during a rain storm. The problems are with the neglected unit. the door is warped and the lower door jam is coming out so easy to trip. The owner failed to pay the electric bill and we were without power for most of a day. There are ripped screens, screen doors that don't lock or can't get open, a cupboard door coming off it's hinges, broken floor fan. The instructions for working the door lock were wrong so we couldn't get in. I wouldn't stay in this unit ever again. The property managers did respond to us but who wants to keep calling about problems ?!

Stayed Oct 11, 2024Very nice spot. Great views. Easy access to amenities. Only upgrade i would recommend is putting a vacuum in the unit so we could help keep it clean.
