I thought the management company were on top of things. We had problems with one of the bikes and they were there right away to fix it. Love the 9 foot slider door to the screen in porch. We hope to be back in the future. Great memories. Thank you
Great location! Within a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and the main strip of restaurants on Captiva. Short bike ride to the main area of the resort.
Location is great short walk to beach and pool . A big thing though is you need a wristband to use the South Seas facilities and access to the main pool restaurants and other property things. Even riding the trolley you need one . Go during off season you’ll enjoy the area much better too crowded during spring break restaurants and roads are crazy navigating the roads with bike riders golf carts are big and people walking all have no regard for a moving vehicle saw 2 bad car bike accidents during the week we were there this villa was in a quiet location
We enjoyed our week on captiva and were so lucky to visit the week before IAN. When we got to the condo, we reached for a glass to have a glass of wine and the glassware was dirty - hadn't been put in the dishwasher - red wine stains, finger prints and even mouth prints. We corrected the problem by running a load of all glassware and utensils but not the welcome we wanted. Had an issue with one of the showers and both showers had mildew that needed to be attended to.
Unit showing its age except for new kitchen. Upholstered furniture in living room was worn and dirty. Floors gritty. Pans were dirty and needed to be scrubbed. Lamp shades in bedroom were dusty. Mold in corners of shower. Bedspread and shams were splotched with blood on both sides. Contacted host who had housekeeping change linens. Refunded cleaning fee. Not worth the money spent. Thankfully didn’t spend much time inside.
This condo was in a perfect location for us to get everywhere in the resort and in town by bike! We enjoyed a weekend of experiencing the beach, pool and local restaurants while finalizing plans for a wedding at the resort this fall. It was just right for what we needed.
Easy access to beach, big pool, and shops/dining. The kitchen was beautifully remodeled and the patio was spacious. Bathrooms were small and not as nice as the kitchen but got the job done. We had a maintenance issue and Mr. Rosen had it fixed within no time with great communication. Wonderful stay.
Very nice, very accommodating, wonderful area!!
For the money we paid, the condition of the property definitely needs work. The view and location is fine. The dishwasher was in need of cleaning and servicing, as was the very leaky master toilet. The realtor, Palmer was nice, but the place needs serious attention or a much lower price.
This Villa is the perfect size and price for two people to enjoy a beach getaway. It's clean, cute, and has the amenities to make moving around the island easy and fun. The wagon with beach gear was perfect! Biking to Starbucks for breakfast was the perfect start to my day. Everyone on the South Seas Plantation was friendly and helpful. We used the store for lunches and snacks. Then thoroughly enjoyed dinners at The Bubble Room and R.C. Otters. Sunsets on Captiva beach fill the soul. We'll be back.
Rental process was quick and easy. Condo was clean and equipped with everything necessary (cooking supplies, beach gear, towels). The only thing we brought ourselves was a cooler for the beach which is necessary. Check in process was easy using a code to enter into the condo. It was difficult at first to find the 4000 building but that’s no fault to this rental just South Seas in general. The bikes were a huge plus we used them often to get into town for restaurants and to check out the manatees at Jensens. The pool was literally right next door and was perfect when to hang or just cool off. The only negative I had was that there was a door in the bedroom that was accessible from the outside that was able to be completely opened only stopped by a door jam. Again, I know this is South seas issue but a little freaky that someone is able to open your door and look in while your sleeping if they wanted. We just piled our suitcases in front to keep it from opening. All together the experience was great and we would definitely be back again.
prompt replies with any comments/questions. the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. the bikes were the BEST amenity in our opinion! location was great to walk/ride to downtown and the beach! happy to not pay the resort fee for amenities we weren't going to use. Could use a good cleaning - my husband and I are pretty fastidious.
This was pleasant. Need some updating and new towels!!!
