Stunning condo with 3 pools & more by Seaside Vacations

Overall we had a nice time, location and view was wonderful! The blackout curtains in the bedroom were great for my toddlers sleep.Unfortunately the cleanliness was an issue. They charge you for a cleaning fee, but there was dried food all over the cabinets, there was a brown splatter stain on the wall next to the toilet, there was a makeup stain (lipstick??) on the bed spread, the towels smelled like dish rags, there was someone else’s beard trimmings all over the bathroom mirror and sink, and we found a T-shirt in the fold out bed on the couch. We also had to have someone come out to fix the garbage disposal. He removed a teeny tiny pebble and got it running but a few days later it happened again and it was making a loud noise. It was later in the evening so we declined having an emergency plumber come out but luckily my husband was able to open it and found a small plastic cup clogging the disposal. They also ask you to sweep the floors, wipe down the counters, wash dry and put away all the dishes, plus leave the sheets on the beds and towels in the bathtub. Along with taking out the garbage and making sure all doors and windows are locked. Some of these are certainly reasonable, but to ask your guests to do all of this when packing up is adding to our work load, and makes me wonder what the cleaning service actually does???

Unit was clean and fully stocked. It was nice that the linen package was included. View and access to the beach was amazing! Sleeper sofa was comfortable. Also the reserved parking under the garage was a great bonus for us, actually the best parking spot available. The wait for the elevator was no issue, never had to wait for than a couple minutes and it was a very busy weekend during our stay.

Our stay was lovely. The weather was great. Accommodations fit our family's needs. Condo bldg is along on the ocean, close to plenty of restaurants, shopping, activities. We had a lovely view of the ocean from the balcony and master bedroom. The assigned parking spot was a premium spot, covered from the sun, close to bldg entrance and perfect for taking chairs to the beach and back to the vehicle. Unfortunately the wifi throughout condo & bldg was very weak or non-existent most days and stood in long lines for the 4 elevators several times. Adding a kerug coffee maker to make individual coffee would be an added benefit. Overall, it was a great place to stay!!

Wonderful stay! Clean, ideal location, parking spot was covered and convenient, great pool deck with tiki bar, beach view from master bedroom was spectacular, no issues with elevators as other reviewers noted. Really appreciated being able to rent for less than 7 days - hard to find that with OC beach rentals

The Golden Sands parking and elevators are a nightmare!!! We stayed on the 8th floor and we had to take the stairs in a stairwell that smelled disgusting,because the elevators just weren’t sufficient for the amount of people staying in the 22story building. My husband and I are 64yrs old and in fairly good health but to walk up 8flights of stair almost gave me a heart attack!!! We were given a parking permit that cost $40 that was already assigned to another and the Security Staff gave us Vendor parking, the next someone parked in our space and was not so helpful getting us another space . On both occasions we had to wait almost a hour to get help . The unit itself was decent, but having to deal with the elevator and parking situations made our stay frustrating , took valuable time away from us and very stressful on us . We will never recommend the Golden Sands to anyone…..ever !!! We hear so many complaints from others staying there as well . I will be contacting the Board of Directors for the Golden Sands to address my concerns and the lack of professionalism and integrity from the management staff at the Golden Sands .

We had a great trip- our condo was exactly as described and very clean and perfect location! The only downfall and our only complaint, which is no fault to the condo owners, is the elevator. The elevators are ridiculously slow and it’s a crowded location. One day we had to take the steps up and down to and from the 8th floor after waiting for an elevator for 20 minutes. Another day we got in and elevator going up just to come back down because they would be too crowded by the time they got to us on 8! Otherwise everything about the condo was great!

The condo was perfect! It overlooks the ocean...nothing better than watching the sun rise over the ocean. There were 5 adults staying here with plenty of room to move around. Some of us like the beach and ocean while others prefer the pool. This property accommodated all of our preferences. The team I worked with, Seaside Vacations, was always ready with info and able to answer any questions I had very quickly. Thanks again for a great time!

This condo has everything a family could possibly need for a vacation- location, view, indoor and outdoor fun for the kids…. You don’t really have to leave the property if you don’t want to. This was our first family vacation and we have a 5 year old and a two year old, so we wanted to keep our trip as simply and easy as possible. We also wanted to make sure we were well prepared for rainy weather with two little ones. Golden Sands has not only an outdoor pool AND a wading pool for our youngest, but they also have an indoor pool! This came in handy on our last day of the trip when the weather was stormy and our 5 year old wanted to swim so badly and was still able to. There’s also an indoor arcade area- they loved it! Having a two year-old who is go-go go all the time is difficult so I wanted to make sure that in case we didn’t want to take the kids out to eat and didn’t want to cook ourselves, there was food nearby. And the tiki bar and grill had that option for us. (We never actually tried it, but I loved that it was an option.) The photos showed everything exactly as it was. The condo was exactly what I was expecting, and that was such a relief. The short walk to the beach was so easy with 2 little kids. They also had outdoor showers so that you can rinse all the sand off before you go back inside. We chose this trip because our oldest loves horses and Assateague island is right next door. Loved it! We’d stay again!!!
