Stunning 1st Floor Waterfront Carriage Home W/ Attached Garage

Fulfilled our tick list for our Winter getaway. We were looking for a place that slept comfortably 4-6 people that was clean, homey, complete amenities, first floor, water view, golf course, near a pool / hot tub, manicured community, safe and friendly neighbors. This had it all for us. It was also close to the airport, shopping malls, restaurants and golf courses. The owner Dave, was always most responsive from start to finish. His write-up on the place was spot on. A testimonial to our review is we rented for 3 months next year vs. 2 months this year. We were fortunate enough to rent this carriage home for the month of December for a winter getaway to the Gulf Coast of Florida. We truly enjoyed our stay in this beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable condo at Colonial Country Club. The location is close to restaurants and stores. It is centrally located in Fort Myers. The easy access to the highway made it easy for us to spend time at a different beach each day. It is a short distance to Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel and Naples. Everything was just as described. Our family slept comfortably with clean linens and a well-stocked kitchen. We were able to pick up groceries for breakfasts and have several meals at home. Everyone was pleased with the use of WIFI and Netflix. Having the beach items in the garage such as the beach chairs and cooler made our visits to the beach that much better! Colonial Country Club is a beautiful well-maintained property with wonderful amenities. It is easy access from the condo to the nature trail and a short walk to the clubhouse. We were able to pay a minimal fee to enjoy the fitness facilities during our stay. The fitness center, pool, tennis courts, and golf course offered something for everyone. It is apparent that the owners take pride in making this a wonderful vacation rental for all who visit. The owners are great to work with and provide excellent communication and service. My husband and I rented this condo for January through March in 2015 and 2016. The unit is comfortable and roomy. The kitchen is well equipped. We especially appreciated the technology set-up, which includes wi-fi and printer/fax/scanner. The owner, Dave, is always looking for ways to make a renter's experience better. This year, we found a new, adjustable mattress; two bags of golf clubs; and a large-screen TV in the living room complete with surround sound. If you're a beach person, the garage is stocked with sand chairs and beach toys. Just about every morning we walked one building away to the nature preserve for a one- or two-mile walk. The neighborhood pool is just a short walk down the street. A five-minute walk gets you to the Clubhouse and the Activity Center. Jet Blue Park, home to Boston Red Sox spring training, is a quick drive away. You're also conveniently close to Fort Myers airport, just down Treeline Avenue, one of the few less traveled thoroughfares in this busy city. There's also easy access to I-75, which comes in handy for accessing Lovers Key State Park and the Bonita Springs beaches. After a busy day in the sun, it's nice to come back to the shady, north-facing screened-in lanai, which is nicely separated by a large pond and grassy areas from the houses across the way.

This carriage home is pretty much as advertised with lots of room and nice amenities such as a printer, electric grill in the patio, and three flat screen TV's. The unit is beautifully decorated. The first floor units aren't as bright as the upstair homes because they have the garage rather than windows. The upstair units have a sheltered outside space instead. The owner is easy to deal with and very personable which adds to the total experience. We would definitely consider coming back here or recommending this unit to our friends. What makes this place so outstanding in my opinion is its proximity to the walking nature trail and what the Colonial Country Club offers its residents - tennis, golf, and a terrific fitness center. The people at Colonial, both staff and residents, are great also.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The condo was everything plus what was stated in the owner's description. If it wasn't for Hurricane Sandy we would have stayed for our whole time of one month. Had to leave early because of damage to our home in NJ. Will highly consider renting the same condo again next November because the stay was so pleasant and convenient. The decor was just beautiful and comfortable.
