This unit is NOT pet friendly. Only floors 1 & 2 are pet friendly. You may see pets on the 4th and 5th floors, however if an owner is staying in their unit, then they are allowed to have a pet (this is the buildings policy and has nothing to do with High Rocky Homes).
Heating is controlled by a thermostat on the wall of the living room.
If was very nice; clean, location was good (right by shuttle stop). Great place for hiking/ mountain biking.
the lodge provided a great headquarters for our trip in crested butte. the location is super convenient to the slopes - easy walking distance to the lifts. the unit is cozy but clean and well set up with amenities for cooking and a nice little view. the murphy bed is easy to operate. the lodge provides a warm atmosphere and very convenient restaurant and shop for basics.
The door to the outside was not secured and locked so anyone could gain access to the rooms. The dishwasher was not secured to the counter top; it nearly tipped over when we first tried to put dishes in. The hotel needs work and one section was closed so work could be done. There were not many people there so it was quiet which was a plus.
The property was great. It was expected and had a really nice view of the mountain. Only thing to note is during the summer there is not ac so you leave the window open however the parking lot was pretty loud at most hours of the night. All in all a great place and would stay here again especially in the winter when the window can stay closed
The refrigerator had a towel in the bottom. Turned it on and a while later we noticed water on top shelf so we thought it was broken. Called the number listed by property. It belonged to a property manager 100+ miles away and wasnt her property. She assured us someone would call ASAP. After 5 hrs, we hadn’t heard from anyone. Bottom line, the front desk gave us a number to call, so we got resolution that way. I had responded to emails that we received prior to check in. Hours later, different people started responding to me. One was a phone call at 11:15 pm waking us up. There was damage to a wall that was fixed with white joint compound but not painted. The soaps and conditioner jugs were on the floor under the bathroom vanity in plain sight. We were asked to put the used towels on the floor, wash all dishes and put away, and shut off all lights. Why are we paying a cleaning fee? All in all, not a pleasant place to stay. The listing originally stated there was a balcony but didn’t appear to be one in the photos. I texted and found out there was not one. The website appears to have been updated now.
This unit is actually much larger than it looks online! 2 rooms/studios attached by a door makes it nice if someone wants to get up early and watch TV while the other sleeps. Nothing fancy, but definitely gets the job done for a home base for skiing! It’s about 5 minutes from the ski base!
