Splash 506E - Beachfront, Pools, Waterpark, Lazy River, Private Beach, West End

One of our favorite places to stay ! Super clean and fun for the kids !!! VRBO was awesome and super helpful my whole stay !

Let me start by noting we stayed at a different condo in this same resort last year and it was top-notch, absolutely pristine and it cost the same as this one. This roach motel was a far cry from that. The floors hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived. The vacuum was broken so they were not cleaned properly until after someone from the property brought us a new vacuum the next day. Other things started to pop up— no extra blankets, I had to go buy one. No toaster, the sliding glass door was nearly impossible to open, the refrigerator shelves were cracked and falling apart, etc. But the kicker was the infestation of roaches throughout the condo. At first we noticed them in the kitchen—4 small ones on the wall when we flipped the lights on. Then we saw them in both bathrooms and then running across the living area floors. We contacted the property owner. No real concern was shown. No compensation was offered. They acted as if they never heard of the issue, although we saw other reviews that were given after we booked our room, that had mentioned seeing them months ago. We probably brought the roaches home with us. This was not what we expected when we spent over 2K. The only good thing about this condo was that we weren’t sleeping on the streets at night. I would rate 0/5 stars if I could.

Everything was great! Contacting panhandle getaways was so easy and quick! Everything about our stay was perfect!

Great place to stay! Kids had a great time!

We checked in and dropped our bags and went to dinner. When we came back in there was roaches scattering the floor and counter. Called maintenance and John came with a can of raid. We went out all day Saturday enjoying the beach and again we came back to crawlers again. John came back with 2 cans. We attended a wedding, reception after party on Sunday and was again greeted with bugs. We were so tired we didn’t call John back one cause we were so tired and just wanted to sleep without Raid fumes. Checked out Monday- So glad to be back at home. We left our bags in the back of the truck to ensure we didn’t bring those uninvited guest home. Such a horrible weekend getaway!

Overall place is good except roaches

The unit was perfect, except we needed a toaster. Well taken care of, beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

Check in process was smooth and easy, everything we could need was on the app they have you download. The property was very clean, spacious, and beautiful. Splash resort was awesome, and my son loved all the pools and splash areas. 5/5 would stay again.

Wonderful and relaxing

On the day of checkout housekeeping shows up at 9:30am beating our door down with his entire family which appeared to be his wife, mother, and 3 kids. We were almost completely out but I was waiting on my husband to get back to pack one more bag because I had my toddler to pack. This man was so rude he said “when will you be out of here because I have things I need to do today” at I still had 30 mins left not to mention we wasn’t able to get checked in until 8pm because housekeeping didn’t show up until 6pm after a 14 hour drive. When we got there we had to wash ALL bedding because it was filthy. The front door didn’t lock and we have children, toaster didn’t work, the fridge took two days to get our drinks cold, I could go on and on. However we enjoyed Splash Resort. After I checkout they were a $250 charge to my debit card saying we tore the toaster up (which never worked when we was there) and we destroyed 3 mattress pads when we had to wash them before we could even sleep, they were stained prior to us being there!! I think housekeeping knew I was going to complain on him for being so rude to me so he got me by LYING and saying it wasn’t clean when i washed all towels and folded them, I washed all bedding and made all beds, I swept and mopped, I cleaned the balcony which was also dirty when we arrived, I started the dishwasher before leaving, I left it cleaner than what it was when I arrived but yet I was charged $250 for it not being clean? Complete LIES!!! So uncalled for!!!!
