The PENTHOUSE at Palm Plaza! This unique property is the largest in Palm Plaza complex with our beautiful ocean views patio deck!! VERY SPACIOUS! With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, fire place in living & dining room, lots of windows, large wrap around ocean facing deck with BarBeQue and patio furniture, fully equipped kitchen, dish washer, washer and dryer, 4 flat screen TVs, cable with PREMIUM movie channels, PANORAMIC WiFi , F/P, original water color art of local attractions. 1 (one) assigned carport under unit, the Penthouse is on a 3rd floor (no elevator). Good exercise!

The layout of beds in the Penthouse is as fallow:
1st bedroom has a FULL SIZE BED, personal AC, ceiling fan and floor fan.
2nd bedroom has a QUEEN SIZE BED, ceiling fan, floor fan and personal AC.
3rd bedroom (kids bedroom) has a set of bunk beds twin size each and a futon twin size, floor fan.
Living area has 2 sofa sleepers that open up to a king size bed each, floor fan.

The Penthouse is in a THIRD FLOOR at Palm Plaza complex, no elevators, no AC, just stairs, good exercise!

Imperial Beach is a small, laid-back town of about 25,000 people and it's less busy than most beach areas in San Diego County. There are at least 8 restaurants within a 5-minute walk from the condo. There is a well-stocked 7-11 and Leon’s convenience stores and a taco shop about 20 yards away, and two coffee houses within 200 yards. There are many fine restaurants Sea 180, Thai food, Brigantine, Coronado Brewing, Mike Hess brewing, including several at the Hotel Del Coronado, in the beautiful and very exclusive city of Coronado, located about 8 miles north of Imperial Beach along the 'Silver Strand' that separates the Pacific Ocean from San Diego Bay. The condo is located on 177 Palm Avenue, which is a major street further to the east, but by the time it gets to the beach, it's a two-lane road. To get to the beach from the condo, it's a walk of about 200 yards crossing one street, Seacoast Drive, which is controlled by a four way stop sign.

Imperial Beach has wide sandy beaches, all of which are publicly accessible. The surf is excellent, the area just north of the Imperial Beach Pier and another area about 1 mile south are among the best surfing locations in Southern California. The City of Imperial Beach has been working to emphasize the surfing theme, and the plentiful public art reflects that. There are two beach-front public parks within walking distance of the condo, one at the foot of the Imperial Beach Pier. The pier is about 300 yards long and there's a restaurant at the end. Even at prime time on weekends. it's easy to find a place to set up at Imperial Beach. No alcohol is allowed at the beach or in the public parks and the public places are very family-friendly. Imperial Beach is not a 'party' area compared to other San Diego County beaches such as Mission Beach or Pacific Beach.

Easy walking distance to the beach, all shops, restaurants and historic pier. Enjoy small beach town unhurried atmosphere, estuary, ocean and bay. Also close to Coronado and San Diego for more shopping, restaurants and water activities. Close to Coronado, Las Americas outlet mall, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Lego Land and Baja California Mexico. Bring your passport when you visit in case you want to go to Baja California, México.

It’s been a constantly changing environment and working space for our staff as well. I think we’re handling it all pretty good. Are we perfect No. There’s no such thing as true perfection. With that said keep in mind, there’s always going to be someone who disagrees or doesn’t understand what is going on and is quick to pass judgement.

    Enough room for 8 people, ocean view was exceptional. Place was a little dirty, had to do some cleaning before settled in. Street noise was high especially at night. Only one parking area for a medium size car or truck. Have to hike 3 levels of stairs to get to unit, ok if you have young legs. Ocean was closed due to contamination. Lots of Restaurants and shops in walking distance. Would not stay in this area again.

    The property is close to the beach and it was great to see the water from the living room. There are good nearby restaurants and it's very close to the highway. The host was kind and communicative. We very much enjoyed our stay.

    The residence was rundown, and a lot of things were broken and dirty. The bedding was stained and dirty. The walls and vents were filthy. There was duct tape on the window in sliding doors. The outdoor furniture was rusted and ripped. We stayed one night during our six day trip and immediately booked a different vacation home and reported this to VRBO as a health and safety concern. I took pictures and videos as I received a full refund, but it was not a good way to start our family vacation and wouldn’t recommend this property nor should it be listed.

    Owners were awesome. Gave just the leniency we needed with a change. We’re suuuuper communicative and available with our couple of questions. The 7/11 next door made things easy. Door to beach is MAYBE 5 minutes. Door to end of the pier about 20 minute walk. Burger place across the street is great food. We will TOTALLY book again if in town

    The penthouse apartment was fine, but we were unaware that the beaches in the Imperial Beach area were not safe for swimming due to sewage from Mexico. This has apparently been the case for months/years, but that information is not reflected in the listing. If you just want to walk around in the sand and sunbathe/watch the waves it’s fine for that, but if you want to actually swim you have to head further up north. It’s on us for not doing our research prior to the trip, but we’ve never had to do that for any other beach trip so we weren’t thinking about it.

    The condo is spacious and has excellent views and locations. We enjoyed the opportunity to gather our family and enjoy meals and special time together. The beach town was quiet in the middle of winter, but things were open and the opportunities for dining were amenable. We want to go back in the summer and do things it was too cold for in December.
