Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our third time renting in Mammoth Estates. Sadly, the unit we rented this time had no heat due to the fireplace not working and we could only use one shower due to the upstairs shower leaking into the downstairs bathroom light fixture. These were our two biggest problems. We immediately contacted the rental company regarding the fireplace, which heats the unit, as not working. Someone came that evening, but said he would return the next day to fix it. Someone came, but again was not able to fix it. They brought us three space heaters for a four bedroom house two days later. We then discovered the shower issue and were told we would only be able to use one shower for 9 people. We ended up leaving a day early because the house was too cold. We placed several calls to them and wrote several emails documenting all of the issues. They refunded a very small portion of our stay, which isn't enough. We paid high season prices for a condo that should have never been rented to begin with. The community spa was also out of order, that’s an easier problem to manage.

These items need attention: Dishwasher door gasket needs to be replaced, dvd player in main room nonoperational, fireplace/heater would not operate properly.

The pots and pans could use some upgrading and the utensil holder of the dishwasher was broken. Other than that it was a lovely stay with a great location close to the village. The community center was a great place to congregate and play ping pong and pool. The hot tub was large with lot of room for many people

Mammoth Estates Unit #119 was mostly updated, but had a few old and/or broken things in need of renovation (ie no fan in 2nd floor bathroom, wonky shower fixtures). Overall VERY convenient near Village with ample parking and walkability.

The good: This condo is located right under the gondola that goes from the village to Canyon Lodge. The location can’t be beat. The 5 minute walk to the village and also a blue line stop right outside, is a definite plus. We stayed with 3 teenagers, 2 kids and 2 adults and there was plenty of room. Each adult had their own bathroom and the kids and teens had a bathroom-a definite plus. The bad: this condo gets a 3 out of 10 for cleanliness. The kitchen cupboards were filthy inside and out; we rinsed each dish before using it. The bedding was pretty threadbare and I’m glad to have brought my own pillow. Carpet was fairly gross and I wouldn’t walk on it barefoot. Condo is in desperate need of updating. The lights flickered and the tv picture was horrid; we only had the tv on at all because it was super bowl weekend and our kids wanted to watch the game. The wifi didn’t work and management sent someone over to fix it but it still wasn’t working when we checked out. If you only care about location this condo was great otherwise I’d stay somewhere else.
