My wife Tina and I chose Bobs place for our 25th anniversary. I don't think we could have chosen better. Communication with Bob(owner) started immediately which is of paramount importance to me personally. We had several pleasant and very informative and helpful phone conversations. The condo was very nice. They are all alike, from a decor standpoint. It is a Wyndham timeshare/ownership property. We stayed on an upper floor with a beautiful view of the golf course between us, and a cliffside ocean view. Bob did this as a favor at no extra charge. I walked out to the point several times, to spot humpback whales. The whales were our main reason for coming to Hawaii in February. I saw them on each occasion!! Binoculars are a must for this. Bob was also kind enough to send us a list of his favorite restaurants, and they did not disappoint. Princeville is a highend community. There are multimillion dollar homes everywhere, as well as beautiful golf courses. It is not a normaltown in that sense. Be aware the condo does not have AC, however with louvered glass through out for ventillation. It was very comfortable, and im hot blooded. It was always comfortable. Many of the million dollar plus homes dont have AC either. With a year round pleasant climate:-) A couple of mentions: We went for the whale watching in February. It is the rainy season!! We knew that going in. It rained every day, a lot or a little depending on the day. We watched whales EVERY day!!! Maui has the most whales , BUT the experience in Kauai is way more laid back. Personally I would choose Kauai first over all of the islands. Most of the tours on the northside( Princeville Hanalei), close for the six month wet season. The Northern shore gets very high winds and big surf. The Napali coastline being the prettiest by far, was unavailable to us at that time, due to those prevailing strong northern winds and huge surf. But on the flipside, the northern coast has the lightest winds in spring and summer dry season. But no whales. You can choose seasons for your own itinerary of course. Would we return to this property, Absolutely Yes!!!
We enjoyed a wonderful vacation at this resort...clean, accommodating, great location!
The unit is more suited for a family of four with smaller children, as we had four adults, so the bedding was a bit uncomfortable. The master bedroom was spacious and very nice.
Very convenient location.Clean and updated. You get to use fitness center at Whyndum Bali hi for $10 for 24hrs.
