I'm sure Vacasa will point out that the listing only specifies the fireplace as a source of heat. I didn't read between the lines and realize there is literally NO other heat source. Fortunately we had brought a small space heater. The fireplace works great, but there were NO instructions left on how to use it. I bought some firestarter sticks at the grocery store. If tended all day, the entire unit will warm up, almost too warm, but unless you get up periodically to keep adding wood, the fire will go out and rooms will get cold. Maintaining a comfortable temperature is impossible. There are thermostats and indications in the online instructions about heat but no heaters. We rented another unit at Gold Creek with same thermostats and in-room baseboard and in-wall heaters and it was great. If not for this, I'd definitely use this unit again, but with no heat I'd look for another unit at least for cold season.
Was really hot and stuffy. Outdated. Bathroom was nice. Unfortunately I won't be booking to stay there ever again.
The best part about this condo was its proximity to the ski lift. We stayed there for mountain biking and it’s an easy ride to the lift, just right across the street from the free pubic parking. The bathroom was newly remodeled and the living space had a new carpet and a comfortable couch so it was quite homey and comfortable. The beds were definitely tired and worn…not the most uncomfortable mattress but a mattress topper would fix that right up and make the stay so much better. Also, we could not figure out how to get the TV to work. It said it was hooked up to satellite but there was no signal. Overall, for the price, you get a modest place in a great location.
Not much to like. Only reason a 2 and not 1 was because the cleaning person tried as best she could. The building was the nastiest that I have ever stayed in. Unit 208 was reasonably clean but the carpet was a mess and smelled of urine when it got humid. The blinds in the front bedroom leading to the deck were in need of replacing. The screen on the deck was separated at the bottom. The front mattress was like a bowl sagging in the middle. The carpet in the common areas of the building was simply nasty with pet urine spots in many places. The unit that my sister rented and two other units had sewage back-up that caused them to stay elsewhere for the night. I will never stay in that building again and would not have stayed the three nights that we stayed except that we were there to visit my sister and this was her location.
Front for had been broken into... we were unable to enter condo unit because the lock was compromised and door had been broken previously and screwed together. Disposal did not work and there were no sheets or bedding of any kind on couch pull out bed. Frank the building maintenance manager did his best but our condo was not work $3500! I am severely disappointed
Clean & close to slopes.
The. Stay was. Beautiful but the. One thing wrong was. The carpet my opinion is on this is if you have pets yes u should have Tile floors all Over the rooms and. Hallway and entrance bc not all dogs are potty trained. Yes mine are bc they are inside dogs but when we arrived the carpet was stained and smelled other then that beautiful place to stay. And there were minor things that need attention that we seen
I am in shock how gross this condo is, especially for $318.50 a night. The floor is absolutely the nastiest thing I’ve ever seen. It has stains EVERYWHERE and some of which are crusty. For a place that rents to people bringing dogs, I can not believe you have allowed the owner to keep this horrible carpet. My kids allergies have been awful since we got here. For the amount being spent, you’d think the linens could be updated where the stuffing wasn’t coming out of the many rips they have. The springs in the pull out couch are all popping up. It’s not even usable. The toilet flushes half the time. In the listing you have really put a spotlight on the jacuzzi tub. That’s ridiculous. It’s 40 years old, nasty, and barely works. The shower curtain is missing, and there is only a clear molded shower liner. I’m appalled overall at the level this condo has been cleaned and maintained. We go to Angel Fire every year if not 2 times a year, and we have NEVER been met with such disappointment. Please change this carpet out. My kids are sick from it and I’d hate for someone else’s family have to have that happen to them. I also have emailed VACASA 3 times with no return email.
This condo has location thats great, but that's all. The interior is filled with broken door knobs, keys that don't work, blinds that are broken dangling from the window, carpet is beyond trashed and has mud spots all over. The list goes on and on and on. Not sure why Vacasa charges the amount the do or why they charge a cleaning fee - it obviously is not cleaned. A total waste, do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere for a rental or rent a property that is not terribly managed by Vacasa. I do not recommend this property whatsover.
