Short walk to Beach and Coligny Plaza

This was a nice house to stay in and the location is Excellent! The property manager is excellent as well! This house just needs a little love. Walls and vents need to be cleaned. There were smudges and fingerprints on most of the walls. There is one huge vent you pass on the way up the stairs that needs to be either replaced or deep cleaned. My opinion is that the furniture maybe a little to big for the space but that’s by no means a deal breaker, just something that could help with the esthetics. There is one huge window in the front of the house that is only 1/4 covered. You can see right in at night, and you need to be cognizant of what you have on in the hallway especially if the lights are on. Other than that this was a nice property that has the potential to be GREAT! We wouldn’t mind staying again we’d just ask that these things be confirmed before check in.

We enjoyed our stay for the most part. Unit wasn’t as clean as we had hoped. Outside patio could use some upkeep. Patio didn’t drain water well. Upstairs bathtub didn’t drain well. Found a few items left from previous renters which you would think would be removed before new renters come in. Distance to beach was a little further than we initially thought via the listing and it was overly packed! Area was very populated, long waits, and restaurants stop cooking very early in the night. Overall the stay wasn’t bad, with a few adjustments we may possibly stay again.

Great location, kitchen was small and needs things like measuring cups, cookie sheet and larger pots and pans to accommodate 8 people. Loves all the extras for the beach. Would stay here again!

Condo was older and needs some updating and a few small repairs. Loved the fact that the pool was basically at our back door, only drawback was beach access. We are accustomed to private beach access in condos we have rented in the past and didn’t like having to use the much more crowded public access. Overall was an enjoyable stay though.

We vacationed for a week on Hilton Head Island. I assume that Beachside Getaway partnered with VRBO to market this property. I have used Vrbo for our family vacations many years past and this was the worst property selection by far. To begin with, the AC never got cool enough upstairs. We contacted the office and they had Bret to come out quickly, only to be told, that was the best the Unit would do. There was a note left that asked that we not put the unit below 70 degrees or the AC unit would freeze. Included in the note was a treat to charge us if it froze. This tells me that they knew the AC wasn't working correctly, and with that being the case, why didn't they fix it. Also if they weren't going to fix it, why didn't they include this information in the VRBO description? Knowing this we would have chosen a more suitable property. The owners had the audacity to provide a several Cheap, 10.00 box fans. (again proving that they knew the condition of the AC) Yet no discount was offered. The first night the upstairs was unbearable. Even with the fans. The fans were on the whole time we were there, if someone was upstairs. Box fans instead of repairing the ac. (Really?) This is unacceptable. We paid way to much money to not be comfortable. The WIFI was inconsistent and buffered quite a bit. This made it hard to stream movies. In addition, the condo itself needed updating along with the furniture, appliances and the cookware. I won't say that Our trip was awful as Hilton Head is our favorite SC destinations however our stay selection was drastically below our VRBO expectations. We won't choose this unit again.

Our family enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for everyone.

Perks: this place was close to Coligny, walking distance to the new playground and some restaurants. It’s a bit of a walk to the beach, but it’s doable. The condo provided beach towels, which was wonderful. Check in and check out was easy. Cons: there is no overhead lighting downstairs and leaves the downstairs dark and depressing. The back glass door is hardly on the track and feels like it is going to shake and fall off every time you try to open or close it. The back patio hasn’t been touched in what looks like years and is need of a weeding and cleaning. The tub upstairs (the only tub) does not drain well and made it difficult to bathe small children. The photos make the downstairs look a LOT bigger than it is, which you can take with a grain of salt because most listings do this. The internet was iffy and we could not use the roku downstairs to watch Netflix because it would buffer every few minutes. Overall the place was decent and we made some good memories with our family, but I would probably not stay here again.

The place was spacious, well decorated, and stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed it and would definitely stay again.

Very Hot the week we stayed . Pool was nice except for one day they landscaped and pool was full of debris . Overall Very Satisfied

The beds were very comfortable which I think is important. The furniture was cleaned before we arrived which makes you feel better about sitting on it. Plenty of towels and storage space. Beach towels were nice. We usually stay in Sea Pines, Coligny is a much busier area than what we prefer. Beaches were packed. The kitchen isnt the greatest if you like to cook. Overall we had a great week on a last minute planned trip.
