Shorewood 332 - Oceanview 3rd Floor Condo

It was in desperate need of an update. Most drawers were not on track, wallpaper was peeling off the wall and general out dated feel, felt like it had not been kept up since the 70's. Plenty of spoons, dozen or so, to cook with but only one spatula.

We came to HHI for a music festival and found the property as advertised and comfortable. The unit was very convenient to the activities. Rented bikes through the Vacay life and were delivered and ready for use upon arrival. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and clean. Easy access to the beach and umbrella / chairs were available for rent. Unit could use some additional glassware as we were washing glasses frequently. We will defiantly consider staying here again for future visit.

I appreciated that there were plenty of hangers and the washer and dryer worked well. The best way to describe it is basic and no frills which for the most part was fine for us. The furniture is mismatched and mostly outdated and not especially clean. There were no wall hangings or decor other than some fake plants and shells. It would have been nice to have some throw pillows on the couch and living room chairs. Some hooks in the entryway for bags, purses, etc. would be a great help. The kitchen was adequately stocked for us, but we didn’t cook. It probably wouldn’t be adequate for guests who would want to cook and sit down to have meals with more than 3 people. The location and the Shorewood complex more than made up for all of this in our opinion. Unfortunately the condo was not very clean which is a real problem for me. The kitchen and bathrooms were fine, but the kitchen table was dirty and the floors were filthy. The beds and bathroom vanities had dust and trash from previous visitors under them. Luckily there was a swiffer in the closet and when I used it, I could tell that floors had not been cleaned in a while. The primary bathroom toilet seat was missing a bolt so it flopped around when you sat on it. It took a couple of tries to get a response from the management company, but when they did respond they were quick to fix it. I am not sure if we would stay here again. If we did, I would have to bring some items from home to make it more comfortable and I would plan to do some cleaning.

We spent three nights (three adults, two kids 10) here and had a great experience. The condo has been updated and was very clean, and everything was in good working order. Parking was easy, beach access was convenient, pool was kid-friendly, and the location was very nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Kitchen very well stocked for cooking, everything seem to be fresh & new in the villa, very tastefully decorated for the beach... view not so good.

We didn’t stay at this condo, we’ve been relocated to another condo due to the elevator wasn’t working.

Stayed here again for another year. Place does what it needs to. No frills, just a place to crash when not out and about.

However, as with everything these days, prices on most units have inflated and were out of our price range and we were looking elsewhere. Someone must have cancelled and this unit popped up in our price range and I was excited. The unit itself could use some repairs/updates, but that would most likely put it in a new price range. Everything was satisfactory, and the view/location in unbeatable. If you are willing to sacrifice staying in an updated “fancy” condo for a better price range and same amenities/location, then this is your best bet.
