Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve loved staying at Emerald Hill the past two summers, but this rental really made that easy! I traveled with my 6 month old and we could have left so much at home because the rental was already equipped with a pack and play along with chairs and some toys. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking and dining supplies. We found the place clean and well-suited for 4 adults and one child. The dryer vent tubing had a hole in it which made any laundry take longer to dry, but that was the only issue we had the whole stay!

We had an issue with the coffee pot not working and Benchmark brought us a new one quickly. The sinks drained slowly but it wasn’t a big problem. Other than that, no complaints at all!

The condo just needed to be cleaned better and it would have been perfect. That’s on the cleaning company and not the condo itself.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental property is pretty worn and tired. There were a few issues. The toilet in one of the bathrooms leaked, we contacted Benchmark Management and no one came to repair it, instead we were told not to use that toilet. One of the sinks in the bathroom didn't drain and the property overall was well worn and not as clean as we would have liked.

Pros: The beach. This is a small complex and the private beach was not crowded which made the beach days so much more enjoyable and relaxing with small kids. Cons: The unit is in desperate need of a deep cleaning. Even basic cleaning was not done well before our arrival (floors sticky, fans covered with dust, kitchen cabinets visibly dirty). Other items in the unit need more detailed cleaning or work done. There was mold on the ceiling of the second bedroom closet. The area rugs are so dirty our kids feet were black after walking barefoot in the unit as soon as we arrived. I found cockroaches on two different occasions/places. The patio door handles were broken (could still open the doors but not by the handle). An electrical outlet in the second bedroom didn’t work. The glass table in the kitchen had a chip out of it (small but if my kids ran their hand over it, it could cut them). I did communicate some of the broken items to the management company upon our arrival. They offered to have someone come fix them but we decided we did not want the hassle of having someone come in to repair or clean after we arrived. We clorox wiped surfaces down and I kept the door to the moldy closet closed. However, in my opinion, it does not seem like anyone from a management company has walked through this unit in some time. The area and complex are great, but guests would have a much better experience if these items were addressed. All of this was communicated to the management company after we left when they sent an email questionnaire about our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Emerald hill 36 is a great place and I would stay there again. However, the condo was completely barren of certain common amenities. No coffee filter, salt pepper, box of tissues, etc. Occupants most often leave hand soap, aluminum foil, and many other common kitchen items. The kitchen is completely stripped of anything. Given the amount of people the condo sleeps, it is not stocked with enough towels and wash clothes.

The shower in the master had some red mildew where water was stagnant. The tile floors downstairs were really grimy and turned our feet black when we got there that night. There was also a dead cockroach in the kitchen too when we got there.
