SB 501: Penthouse Paradise - Escape to Luxury with this Beachfront Stay!

This is a beautiful penthouse with plenty of room and amenities. Enough AC units to keep everything cool. Clean and updated. Top of the line appliances. Two balconies with 100% ocean view. Really no complaints just a couple suggestions. The first beach rental we stayed in had the cordless Dyson and it was a dream for keeping the place clean and free of sand. While there was a vacuum, a very expensive one at that it didn't work well and was just a pain to plug in and lug around. No cleaning supplies whatsoever. I've never stayed somewhere without basic counter wipes or windex and the tables here are glass top. I try to treat rental properties as if they were my own and was a little put out that I had to buy cleaning supplies. Nothing I'd take a rating away for but as a rental you should have basica for people to treat your place like a home and clean it in between cooking and such.

Reviewer Comments: Let me start by saying, this condo is In a great location, beautiful view and lots of room. Our only real issue was the cleanliness of the property. We arrived and I notified property management, they responded quickly and offered to come back and clean, but we didn’t want anybody coming back with all of our belongings in the condo. Our experience with Brooks and Shorey was great, but I can’t recommend this condo until it’s had a deep cleaning!

The only problem we had was the fact that the property was under some pretty major construction during our stay. WE were informed of this prior by the leasing company Brooks and Storey and chose to stay anyway. We had a small issue with the air conditioning and the owner had it repaired within the hour! I will ALWAYS rent through Brooks and Shorey Resorts from now on. The staff (especially Marianne)treated us like family and went out of their way to make our vacation memorable!

Reviewer Comments: This was our 4th time to stay in the condo, the first time under the new owners and management company. We love the condo and the view however this time I must say we were disappointed in the cleanliness and upkeep. The linens were clean. The bathrooms did not appear to have been cleaned at all. There was pink mildew in the master shower and floor was dirty, the glass was dirty. The master bathtub had glitter all in it and soap scum along the top. The king bedroom shower water was orange when turned on - most likely from the lack of use. The refrigerator was dirty and drawers sticky. There were crumbs on the table in between the recliners. The floors were not clean under the cabinets. In regards to the upkeep, the bar ice maker still did not work. The back left burner on the stove still did not work. The bottom dishwasher sounded terrible and was not working properly. The half bath toilet was leaking at the base. There were only 3 hangers in each closet and no pot holders in the kitchen. For the price, perhaps there maybe other options available with better upkeep and cleanliness.
