Very updated, beachy, all new furniture and bedding, 2BR/2 full bath unit with fabulous Gulf views from all the windows! This is a good value for a beachfront unit on Sanibel- Beachfront so close you can hear the waves and watch the dolphin! This unit is at the sand's edge. Compare our views and rates to all the others. Some will say Gulf view but the Gulf is a block away! Don't squint to see the beach! This really is beachfront. Weekly rates are discounted approx. 15%, stays of 28 days or more are discounted at 20%. Beach chairs (including kid-size chairs) and large beach umbrella is provided and in the garage. Bring your own beach towels or rent/buy them from our onsite office. Kids beach toys are also in the garage. MAY ACCEPT SMALLER DOGS- JUST ASK. There is a fee for dogs. We do not accept other pets.

Also, we ask that you treat our home with respect and not allow adults, kids or dogs to damage our furniture or take any of the contents. All units are individually furnished and we ask that you not remove contents or damage our home. This is not a party house and we do not allow large gatherings of any kind.

The Sanibel difference: No stop lights, no chain restaurants, no high rises.... just plenty of nature, bike paths, wild life sanctuaries, pristine beaches, shelling, and bike paths...and of course great local restaurants and shopping.

See the new photos of our beautifully remodeled condo. See Photos section for a video of our unit. Note: Twin beds in second bedroom can be combined to a king and the furniture in both bedrooms is new - very pretty! Our unit is more accessible with an elevator, wide doorways, grab bars in the Master bathroom, etc.

New portable crib in unit. This unit has its own garage (can not accommodate overly tall trucks or SUVs with racks) - very important to rent a unit with a garage considering the sun, heat and salt air.

Dine - in prepared food delivery service is now available! You can have your romantic dinner and a glass of wine on the lanai while watching the Gulf and you don't even need to leave our unit or cook! Grocery delivery is also available. (see Links and video tab for link to prepared food delivery).

Description:
Thank you so much for considering our perfect island get-away, beachfront condo on Sanibel Island! Our family has been coming to Sanibel Island for over 40 years and I would like to share a few thoughts on what we think makes Sanibel so unique and special, and why our condo (unit 607) is your perfect beachfront home-away-from-home. Please look through the pictures and see if you agree. A special welcome to our international visitors! Also, if you are thinking about a wedding on the beach, this may be your place! Our onsite management staff has officiated small, beach weddings- just ask.

First, here are a few quick facts about the unit (Unit 607). It is located in Sanibel Siesta on the Beach - a resort/condo community. Our unit (607) is an immaculate, spacious, two bedroom (king master and two twins in second bedroom which can be converted to a king bed), two bath, updated, nicely furnished unit with new beds, new mattresses, and bedding with a queen size hide away bed. It's very bright and beachy! The condo can sleep 6 comfortably. It is right on the beach and has great views of the Gulf from every window and the screened in lanai. It has granite counters, tile floors, new/newer furniture, completely repainted, living room has latest 40+ inch WiFi enabled TV with 4K flat screen, bedrooms have flat screen TVs as well, cable, Internet and all the comforts of home.

Our unit has a garage which is a must due to the hot Florida sun. Our guests frequently comment on how nice the unit is and the terrific location. We love to hear that and are constantly updating the unit as it is our home-away-from-home too!

And now let me tell you what makes Sanibel Island so special. It starts as you leave the frantic mainland and begin your journey across the bridge to the island. It is definitely a wow moment as you see the sun dancing off the crystal blue water. You may have a pelican or two following your car as if to say welcome/welcome back, or you may see dolphin swimming gracefully in the bay, or see a few fishermen on their boats as well as parasails and paddle boards. The beautiful drive over the water never gets old and is the official start to your vacation.

As you enter the island you will experience the Sanibel difference; Sanibel has no stoplights, no big chain fast food restaurants, no high-rises or highways and no ugly strip malls. What it does have are lots of natural habitat, protected wild life sanctuaries to explore, miles of bike paths, pristine shell beaches, lots and lots of shells for the kids to collect, beautifully maintained resorts, gracious homes with lots of green space and of course the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. If you are looking for a place to unwind and unplug- this is it!

If you are into water sports, this is definitely your place. You can rent a boat and cruise the inter-coastal waterways and explore the other barrier islands, which are accessible only by boat (one of our favorite things to do). Some of the islands are inhabited and some are not. You can anchor your boat and wade or swim to shore, explore the island and do some shelling. The last time we went to one of the islands by boat, there was a wild pig wandering the shore. You will probably see dolphin, wild birds, manatees, stingrays, and possibly a sea turtle or two. Or you may want to rent jet skis, paddle boards, kayaks, parasails, go on a sunset cruise or head over to Captiva Island (the ajoining island to Sanibel) for the day. The next day you may want to take one of the bikes off the Sanibel Siesta bike rack and explore the island (or bike to Captiva). The bike trails are safe, perfectly maintained, easy enough for kids (and old kids with bad knees) and are a great way to explore the island. Or you may choose to walk out the front door, go down the steps (or elevator), grab the beach chairs from our garage, umbrella, sunscreen, and a good book and hit the beach or do a little shelling on the world-famous Sanibel shell beaches. Your commute to the beach is literally less than two minutes. Regardless, you will definitely feel like you are on vacation when you are on Sanibel Island. (Links to water-sport rental equipment and rental of boats on the Links tab).

As for our condo (Unit 607), it has all the things that I personally look for in a vacation home; it is immaculate, well furnished and maintained, updated, has a great view of the Gulf from every window and the screened-in lanai, is in an immaculately maintained, small resort community (Sanibel Siesta on the Beach) with a heated pool (cooled in the summer), tennis courts, bike rentals right on the property, golf course literally across the next street, shuffle board, internet, and is located on Fulgur street and Middle Gulf Drive (which is directly on the beach). Sanibel Siesta is one of the few condo homes/resorts allowed to build so close to the Gulf water (see the Location tab to see that our unit is directly on the beach- not across Middle Gulf as many are). Additionally, only two of the buildings at Sanibel Siesta are located directly on the beach and our unit is in one of the two Gulf-front buildings directly on the beach. Our unit also has its own garage to protect your car from the sun, heat, and salt air. Why squint to see the beach In Unit 607, you are so close to the water you can actually hear the waves.

Finally, our beach home has all the amenities you need and is a great value for a Sanibel Island beachfront (which can be very pricy). The perfect combination- a beautiful, updated beachfront condo for a great price without feeling like you settled! Just bring your swimsuit, sunscreen, a beach towel, flip flops, a good book and your sense of adventure.

And, if the cook of the house also wants to take a break from cooking or if you just don't want to go out some nights (think Gulf front dining right on your own lanai), Sanibel Siesta can arrange for prepared meal delivery for one or more nights- just ask and we can provide the details! (check out the Links and video tab for more info).

If you choose to rent our unit (607), welcome home! You've made a great choice. I will be happy to share lots of information on the great shopping, restaurants, and things to do with or without kids while on Sanibel. Sanibel Siesta is a non-smoking resort.

We offer a 5% discount for rentals of 4 - 7+ weeks (consecutive) and 10% discount for rentals of 8 or more consecutive weeks. Just ask and I will amend the quote to reflect the discount.

Our family of four (two children ages 15 and 11) had a marvelous time on Sanibel in this unit. The unit was extremely clean and very well stocked. The views were beautiful, and being steps from the beach was so convenient. The lanai was a favorite spot to be when we were up in the condo. I don't think we'd ever tire of the sound of the waves hitting the shore. The heated pool was a nice complement to the beach, especially for our younger one who wanted to swim every day. We didn't take advantage of the bike rental but it was nice to know we could rent from the complex if we had wanted. Biking is definitely a good way to get around the island. Christine was very responsive no matter what time of day we contacted her. We really appreciated the information she sent to us beforehand about what to do on the island, where to eat, visit, etc. Our stay wasn't real long so it was nice to have this information beforehand so we could plan our stay. The check in and check out process couldn't have been easier. The office staff were pleasant and friendly and very welcoming. We never encountered any issues during our stay, yet I believe if we did, the staff would have been responsive. Thank you Lisa K. (formeroccupant) for the dolphin night light. Our girls liked having that at night! Also, I should mention that there are plenty of beach chairs, toys, a beach umbrella, pool noodles, sand toys, etc., in the unit's garage which was an added bonus for us. That beach umbrella allowed us to stay on the beach longer! No doubt we highly recommend this unit and hope to make it back to Sanibel some day!

This was a dream, from view to decor. We've enjoyed Sanibel for 35 plus years and this was as good as it gets. Nice people everywhere at Sanibel Siesta, from neighbors to office! The 2 coffee makers made for convenient coffee options! (Remember to buy water, though, because I didn't remember and was reminded that a good cup of coffee with Sanibel water is difficult!)! We did leave a little dolphin night light in the gorgeous master for the next guests; as it is otherwise equipped with support bars by toilet, etc. and it was good for my mom, who has newly reduced mobility. It's an easy couple of doors from the elevator to the condo! Christina did a cheerful, tasteful sleek redo of this incredible condo! The view and spacious Lanai is the absolute highlight! Grounds are kept natural, beautiful, clean.

Christine was great. We came here with twin 2 year Olds and a 9 year old and there was plenty of space. She paid out of pocket to provide us with an extra crib and 2 high chairs. Was very nice place and pool was really warm, which was good consideringwe were there during the coldest weather in the past 3 years. Thanks. Would book this one again.

We had a wonderful trip. 10 days in a condo with two kids could feel tight, but not in this property. A well furnished condo with everything we needed. Beach access right out of the building. Everything was incredibly clean in the condo and around the complex. The pool was wonderful, and the staff at the complex were friendly and helpful. The garage was well stocked with chairs, noodles, beach toys, etc. The owner reached out multiple times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. I would absolutely come back to this condo! Overall, we were very pleased with our stay.

What a perfect spot on Sanibel! The condo was exactly as described and shown in photos, or even better. Very comfortable, very Florida, yet homey and inviting. Amazing how much great equipment was stashed in the small but high-end kitchen, which we barely touched since we ate out most meals. We loved the cute white dishes. As for proximity to the beach....look no further! The grounds are immaculate, the staff extremely welcoming and helpful. More beach stuff in the garage than we could ever have used, just for the two of us. Parking beneath the building wasn't particularly a perk in November, but in the summer heat would really be wonderful. The salt water pool was perfect too, so refreshing and easy on the eyes (or was that the hunky guy who hung out there?!) My only suggestion is to update after-hours check-in instructions, which direct you to get the key from the Holiday Inn next door. In our late night arrival, driving around searching for Holiday Inn in total darkness wasn't fun, because it doesn't exist! The ownership changed a few years ago, I was told, and I don't recall the new name of that hotel. They did have our key, however. Billy's Bike Rental had our bikes waiting in the garage as promised, and my husband especially made use of his....crowning achievement was riding all the way to the end of Captiva and back one afternoon, 25 miles! I wasn't that ambitious but had fun nonetheless. Thanks for sharing your outstanding Sanibel getaway! Debbie & Gregg, Louisville KY

Unit 607 at Sanibel Siesta was perfect for us! We were two couples, and the two king beds and separate bathrooms were awesome - and I love the versatility of either a king or two twins! The beds were super comfortable...and this is coming from the princess and the pea - I RARELY sleep well, but I didn't move once I hit the pillow! The kitchen was well appointed and beautiful with granite and great appliances. We cooked breakfast in every morning and loved having snacks and beverages as we wanted. We experienced ZERO issues while we stayed here, but the check in/out process at the front desk was seamless and the people were very friendly. Location is perfect - right on the beach and easy to walk/bike or drive to anywhere on the island. We hope to be back, we loved it!

If you want to be right on a non-crowded beach, this unit is for you. Literally steps from the sand, and you can hear the waves while you sleep. Master bed is extremely comfortable, and the unit is very clean! The owner, Chris, is fantastic, and provided a list of things to do in the area with our kids. We did most of them, and none disappointed! We had one tropical storm day, and were able to take advantage of the family games and books in the unit. A very thoughtful addition! Only hiccup we had was that our truck (F250) was too tall to fit into the garage with the unit, so we did need to park and walk a short distance, but this would not be a problem for 90% of vehicles. This is a great property with a very friendly and available owner. Would highly recommend for those with kids! Hope to return in the future!

When we arrived at our condo, it felt as though we were at home! It was very comfortable, and very well furnished with everything we would have in our own home. The location is perfect. We enjoyed the short walk to the pool, the close walk to the grills, and we really loved the view of the ocean and the short walk there! We plan to visit here next year as well!
