The Neighborhood:
Vista Verde East Isla Del Sol - meaning Island of the Sun, is an island community on a tropical barrier island surrounded by Boca Ciega Bay and nestled between the southernmost tip of St Petersburg and St Pete Beach, Florida. This island community has many different condo neighborhoods each with beautiful tropical landscaping, heated pools, spas, clubhouses, some with private beaches and water views everywhere you look. Biking and walking trails will take you from your condo to the Shopper's Village and around the golf course of the private Isla Del Sol Yacht and Country Club.
The Island is just minutes from the warm, turquoise waters and the many beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, Fort DeSoto Park and Fort DeSoto's North Beach, voted one of America's top beaches. Tons of shops, restaurants and many exciting things to do are just a short drive across the Bayway Bridge to Gulf Blvd. Explore historic Pass-a-Grille beach and the bustling St Pete Beach or drive up the coast following Gulf Blvd through Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, Redington Beach, Indian Shores, Indian Rocks Beach, Belleair Shores all the way to Clearwater Beach to see what adventures you may find! It's also just a quick drive to I-275 to the experience all that Downtown St Petersburg has to offer.
St. Pete Beach, the most southern link in a chain of barrier islands that make up the Tampa Bay Sun Coast, offers residents and visitors miles of pristine white sandy beaches that border the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. St. Pete Beach, formerly known as St. Petersburg Beach, has a wide variety of accommodations ranging from large scale resorts to the classic Florida mom and pop vintage motels that bring back memories of old Florida. The city was incorporated in 1957 with the consolidation of the Towns of Pass-a-Grille, Don CeSar, Belle Vista, St. Petersburg Beach and unincorporated Pinellas County to become the "City of St. Petersburg Beach." In 1994, the citizens voted to shorten the name to "St. Pete Beach" to lessen the confusion with the City of St. Petersburg, located on the mainland to the east.
The City of St. Pete Beach is located just off the Pinellas County mainland of Saint Petersburg, just south of Treasure Island, 20 miles from Clearwater Beach and within 30 miles of both St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport and Tampa International Airport. With year-round sunshine, an abundance of recreational activities, restaurants, and shopping, St. Pete Beach is one of the most enjoyable places to live and vacation, in the world.

There were no sheets on the twin beds or any in the condo to fit them. Sandy Beach Vacation Rentals (SBVR) Had someone come the next day to put sheets on the beds. We were short 3 pool tags which took 5 days to get replacements. Toilet seat broke (one of the bolts holding it on broke off) and the toilet completely stopped working in the guest bath - 2 days to get fixed. Friday the microwave died when I first called I was told I would have a new one in a couple of hours. Four hours later I called for a status and they said they were waiting for the owners approval. 3 hours later I got a call and they ordered one from amazon and I wouldn't get there until Saturday. Got it late afternoon on Saturday. I didn't bother unboxing it we were leaving on Monday am. To say I was not happy with SBVR would be an understatement.
This is our fourth year renting this unit. We love our time here. The owners are very responsive to any suggestions. People nearby are quiet and yet friendly. We are planning to come back next year.
This is the third year in a row we have rented this unit and the owners have made improvements each year. This year they purchased a new mattress for the king sized bed in the master bedroom. The unit and the area are well maintained. We have already rented the unit for next year.
We enjoyed our stay and the short walk to the heated pool and Jacuzzi each day. Friendly people at the pool and enjoyed reading. Condo layout is great and having the balcony overlooking the golf course is beautiful.
Condo was very clean and spacious. Enjoyed relaxing on the balcony and enjoyed the views. Pool and Jacuzzi were very relaxing. Liked knowing the there was security on the property, they also offered to help my husbands when they saw he was using a cane. Would recommend to family and friends.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we are making reservations to return at the same time next year.
Beautiful condo and fantastic view of the golf course and pond from our balcony. Everything was ready for us upon our arrival. Very clean and well equipped - thank you for the beach and pool towels which were furnished. We enjoyed our morning walks on the paths and to the beach. Pool water is heated regardless of the temperature, and the pool people were delightful. Plenty of room - both sofas are sleeper sofas. Utilitized the free wi-fi. Look forward to returning to this unit next year.
This is the first time we stayed here. We loved it! The location was perfect (minutes from beach and Publix). The amenities were perfect! Keys, parking permit and pool passes were all at the condo when we arrived. One thing could have been better, though. We know it was stated that pool towels were not provided, but it would have been awesome if they were. Still loved it and will be staying here again next year.
