Spend warm months wandering through the woods, hiking nearby trails, or casting a fishing line at Elmer's Pond. The private community beach at Whitefish Lake, around a 10-minute drive from the village, is idealfor an afternoon swim, picnic, or a fabulous sunset. Must-see Glacier National Park is just a 30-mile drive away. In the winter, enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing at Whitefish Mountain Resort, only three miles away. The restaurants, shops, and amenities of Whitefish are around six miles south. The home itself is located right next to the indoor pool, tennis courts, playground, and hot tub, so you’ll have no trouble finding fun right next door.

Spend warm mornings on your deck, sipping coffee and watching for wildlife. Inside, you’ll find plenty of room to spread out in the complex’s largest floor plan. The open, light-filled space features floor-to-ceiling windows and soaring, pine-paneled ceilings. The full kitchen makes meal prep a breeze, and everyone can grab a bite together at the high-top breakfast bar. After a day of outdoor adventures, open the windows for a cool mountain cross-breeze. Toss the day’s clothes in the convenient washer/dryer, then settle down on the leather sofas to stream the latest release or check up on your social media with the free WiFi. Dock details: HOA private beach access with shared dock on Whitefish Lake: Get the access code from the Ptarmigan Village office or by calling 406-862-3594. Go all the way down Big Mountain Rd; at the T take a right and go past LesMason park. Turn left on Lakewood Ct to a greed road gate. (This is not within walking distance of the condo).

    This property is beautiful! We came to Montana a few weeks back and fell in love. We drove past Ptarmigan Village on our way to snowboard and jokingly called it “Parmesan Village”. It’s super easy to get in and out of but does seem tucked away from things if you enjoy going into town. This is our second time in Whitefish, and we opted for a house through VRBO instead of a hotel environment. It allowed us to have a bit more anonymity for our trip, which we enjoyed. I do wish the fireplace was operational, and it’s a bit frustrating to see so many people say the same thing with no repair being done. This is an environment that could really benefit from having that ambiance and we did feel numerous times that it would’ve been the cherry on top of our stay to have that amenity. I think next time we come back, we will opt for a home with a functional fireplace. But for the purpose of this trip, we made do without it. There were also dirty towels still left in one of the bathrooms when we arrived (still hanging on the back of the door), but this was addressed with guest services. New ones were provided, old ones just hadn’t been removed. Overall, the property is lovely. It was so easy to check in and out, to access, and the proximity to the big mountain is ideal. Thanks for hosting us! We can’t wait to be back in Montana!

    It was a great location, near my home town, close to Big Mountain and close to Whitefish for shopping. It didn't take long to get to Glacier either. Would come again!

    Nice home overall. The cleanliness was disappointing. It was way to much driving to and from glacier, especially to go to the east side it was a 3 hour drive.

    Cozy, nice, woodsy, mountain condo. It is the center unit of three very conveniently located right next to some of the nice amenities to which there was something for everyone to have fun and enjoy! We did have to block the spiral staircase due to having a 1 year old with us, but the card table in the downstairs closet took care of that! Everyone had a great time!
