    Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Best location in Waikiki. Apartment spacious but not luxurious. Many things would need to be fixed. Screens kept falling out of the window (due to heavy winds). Sliding door to Lanai was too heavy for a lady to push open. Immediately reported the major problems. Never got an answer from Captain Cook Resorts. What a pity. Why would we recommend it anyway? Location.

The location is unbeatable: quiet, right on the water, and walkable to Diamond Head, KCC Farmer's Market and Waikiki. We have it reserved for a 4th stay, we like it that much. Know what you're renting though, it's vintage and doesn't have new and modern appliances/cabinets/windows/AC etc. It does have an awesome vibe and cool decor and great layout. Captain Cook is awesome. The furniture could use updating.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I know the Seabreeze well, having stayed in Unit 7 and Unit 10 on previous vacations. It is a wonderful building, built in the 1960s, located directly on the ocean with unparalleled views. Unit 7 received a total remodel shortly before we rented it and Unit 10 had not been remodeled, but everything worked. Unit 6, however, is in great need of a remodel and lots of things didn’t work. The first problem occurred shortly after we arrived, when the elevator periodically stopped working on January 5-8, then again on January 11th, then again on January 19-20. It needs a new elevator. At first glance, all the windows were dirty, several windows on the west side of the unit could not be opened, which defeats the natural flow of air through the unit (there is no air conditioning unit). The carpets needed cleaning. There are no cushions on the chairs on the deck (we borrowed some from the living room). The living room is very poorly lit, desperately needing some floor lamps. In the kitchen, some of the old plywood drawers were very difficult to open. In the master bedroom, one of the two lamps is in need of repair or replacement and the television could only be turned on and tuned with the manual button under the set. In the bathroom, the toilet paper fixture is misplaced. In the guest bedroom, there are no TV remote control units and we were without a functioning sink for a week and a half. On a windy night, the window screen over the bed blew in, landing on the pillow of the bed. Fortunately, the one occupant of the guest room was sleeping in the other bed. Had anyone been sleeping in that bed, they could have been severely injured. For the price we were paying, we expected better.

The location is absolutely perfect, directly on the water, easy walk to restaurants and activities, but crazy peaceful. Surfing and snorkeling right outside your door, and a two block walk to San Souci beach (and the best beach bar in the city). The unit is vintage and has no A/C but the breezes kept us comfortable, and we loved sleeping to the sound of waves. A week in we put Seabreeze on hold for next year, yes, we liked it that much!

    A wonderful location. Great for two couples or a family with access to sand beach and constant views. Very pleasant layout and faculties. Could use some updating of windows, plumbing and appliances but highly recommended. Byron was very helpful and great for communication.
