Beautiful, peaceful location by the river. My suggestions for improvement are to create a space for belongings. There wasn't much space for suitcases with 4 people. Additionally, if kitchen supplies were put up on a shelf or cabinet so you could actually eat at the table would have been great. The walls are a bit thin so we heard people above and a baby crying in the room behind us. It's expensive for what you get but I'd stay again just because I love the lake so much. It had what we needed and we didn't spend that much time in the room except to sleep. I'd say it's perfect for 2 people.

BE AWARE: The photos for this listing are inaccurate. This listing is for half of a lockout suite. The photos in this listing represent the OTHER HALF of the suite, not the unit you're renting. If you rent this unit only, you're basically getting a (small) motel room. One queen bed, a daybed, and a mini fridge with a microwave, toaster & coffee pot stacked on top. Plus a tiny bathroom. This unit faces the parking lot, not the river. See photos accompanying this review. We were shocked to discover all of this when we checked in expecting a couch, fireplace, full kitchen, etc. Thankfully, after contacting VRBO, we were connected to a very helpful local host who made it right for us. (Note: we notified and sent photos to VRBO, but more than a week later, the listing photos still have not been updated.) The upside: This condo is only a block away from Grand Lake's Main Street. Also a short walk from two popular RMNP trailheads. Queen bed was comfortable. Unit was clean, if a bit rundown.

Everything was clean, great location. The cascading river behind building was very peaceful. The pictures did not represent our room, although the description was accurate. We will definitely stay here again.

The property was very convenient to downtown Grand Lake and there is a lovely view of the river from the yard/patio on the other side of the building. But the upkeep on the unit seemed to be lacking. The one smoke detector had been removed, the door to the adjacent unit (separate occupancy) had been left unlocked, there was a broken window curtain and the shower curtain was stained/moldy. Maintenance came the next day and fixed the smoke detector. And when we called about the lockoff, the local manager told us no one was staying in the other unit so it wasn’t an issue. The property is very close to a restaurant so it was noisy with people talking as they came in and out of the restaurant. The mattress wasn’t great, and the kitchenette was really a fridge, microwave and toaster. All in all, it was an ok place to stay, but wouldn’t recommend it or stay there again.

The location was awesome. The beds were comfortable. To list this as a 1 bedroom was deceiving, it was one room. The “kitchenette” consisted of a mini fridge, a coffee pot, a microwave and a toaster. When we arrived the fridge was unplugged and the carpet was wet all around it. There was a hole in the ceiling where the smoke detector should have been. Four people would be very cramped here, I would say 2 max. But again the view from the back couldn’t be beat and very walkable to town

The view from the back yard was fantastic and the beds were very comfortable. It’s not a “one bedroom, it’s just a room. “Kitchenette” was just a mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave and toaster. Any dishes used have to be washed in bathroom sink as that is the only sink. Smoke alarm was missing. If you don’t want to cook it’s fine. Four people would be very tight, fine for two people.

3rd time staying in Grandlake for the 4th. This is perfect for two people. The property is located on the rapids, which is amazing and short walk to downtown. Would book it again.

This unit was clean and not far at all from the lake, shops and restaurants. Was a little disappointed in the “kitchenette”. Was expecting to be able to cook a meal but was limited with only a microwave, toaster, coffee maker and small refrigerator. The Rapids Restaurant next door was very delicious!

The rental was advertised as a kitchenette ; there were no silverware, glasses, cups, or plates. The refrigerator door doesn't close. Two electrical outlets don't work. The thermostat didn't work. Poor. The river was beautiful.
