Stayed Oct 1, 2025Unit was clean, but some of the dishes had to be rewashed. The front screen door spring needed repaired and kept coming off and we couldn't lock the rear sliding door. I reached out and informed VRBO of needed repairs. Lastly unit has no AC. Last night was rough due to heat. Other than that, it was a nice place, and I would rent it again.

Stayed Sep 4, 2025Beautiful views and beach! We unfortunately didn't have the summer weather we had hoped for (50's and windy!!) but we still enjoyed the views and nearby attractions. We hiked in empire, sleeping bear dunes, checked out Lelenau fishing center, & visited some lighthouses!I appreciated that the condos kitchen was fully stocked so we could cook and save money rather than eating out every meal. The tea kettle and tea bags were a nice bonus (no coffee tho!) I always appreciate when bath soap, shampoo and conditioner are supplied. The space was perfect size for our family of 4. The kids learned how to play checkers when it rained, although it would be nice to add a deck of cards or some more kid friendly games/books to the entertainment shelf too! I think my husbands only complaint was the small tv but I don't need tv when I'm on vacation! To each their own.

Stayed Aug 29, 2025Location was ideal, the view was beautiful, condo was a bit dated but having a washer and dryer was amazing. Bed in the master was very firm. Lake/beach towels would be a nice addition.

Stayed Jul 13, 2025We rented this condo for family reunion trip. It was nicely located very close to the beach of Lake Michigan. Loved the stream that fed into the lake right in front of condo. Floating on it was great and that water was warmer than the lake water. Still pretty cold even in July though which surprised us. We had no trouble getting into condo with the key pad and parking passes were right there. It was hot but we opened things up and the fans helped. I thought this condo had air conditioning but apparently not. My mistake when booked but it really wasn’t a problem. The couch has been replaced and was very nice since that was a con in previous reviews. Cleanliness was ok. Nothing too horrible. We saw no mice or bugs but bait traps were visible. We did call about no ac and no Wi-Fi when first showing up on a Sunday night. No one came to help till Monday mid morning but it was resolved. No ac at all and the Wi-Fi had been unattached at router by who knows who. So other than the area being very expensive with everything it was a nice stay.

Stayed Aug 11, 2024We stayed in Units 9 and 10 August 11-16, 2024. All in all I would stay again. Minor things are: The sink faucet leaked really bad, but they replaced it in a timely fashion, there are mouse bait stations set around the kitchen, baths, and bedrooms, and we did see mouse droppings on the kitchen counter. My wife wiped the counter down with bleach and we hid our counter top food in our cooler and didn't see any more evidence. The carpet is worn and needs replaced and the deck facing the river is pretty worn, but as I said I would stay here again, due to the option to cook at the unit and the location is terrific. Oh, also, the owner should invest in a smart TV so you could watch movies, etc. That's it!!

Stayed Jul 11, 2024To be clear, property is in The Homestead, a well known waterfront resort in Glen Arbor Michigan. The Cyystal river lazes in front of your back porch and world class beaches beckon one hundred yards beyond that, across a foot bridge. It is serene and kept quiet, so you can enjoy your time. Unit was more than acceptable with two full bathrooms and multiple doors to keep kids and adults separate at night, if you are so inclined. Unit has everything you might need (although there was no coffee when I checked in). The resort has a small store that sells beer and wine and few essentials but you will need to hit a grocery store for anything beyond snacks Anderson's IGA is five minutes away by car). Pizza and an outdoor restaurant (Whiskers) is available as well. Note that you do NOT get access to the Beach Club, so no pool access and no Beach Club restaurant. You cannot even buy access separately. Truly a wonderful getaway with many things to do. You are five minutes from Glen Arbor downtown, ten minutes from Pyramid Point, and a short drive from Sleeping Bear Dunes. Enjoy your stay!

Stayed Jul 7, 2024This property is a functional, simple, two bedroom that is dated and worn. It is located in the Homestead resort and is right on the Crystal River, with Lake Michigan behind it. It is a very short walk to the beach. The location is perfect. However, when I arrived there were many mouse traps set and mouse droppings in the kitchen. The house seemed to have been cleaned, but not well. There were cob webs all over, little things left over under the beds and behind furniture, the shower curtains were moldy and the blinds broken. I communicated with the Vacasa and they apologized about the mice and asked if I wanted the local team to come clean, but I had already done it. I am concerned of how the local team cleaned it in the first place and why they would rent it knowingly with that many mouse traps.

Stayed Jun 19, 2024Very nice location. Kids enjoyed playing in the river. Ample bedding. Well stocked. Clean although could use a good thorough cleaning throughout. Quite dated but having the indestructible oak took some of the stress out of having children there. The rental price also helped overlook the decor and the lack of air conditioning. Fortunately we were there with temps in the 70s.
