Relaxing Condo | Pool, Bay View & Steps to Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo at South Seas East was above and beyond what we expected. It was revamped before we arrived and whoever decorated it, had excellent taste. Everything was clean, neat and orderly with many nice features.The condo itself was in a very nice area with easy access to town and the beach. The outdoor patio gave us a great view of the canal and we had occasional dolphin sites in the waters. The property was well maintained with many activities - pickle ball, bocce, corn hole, shuffleboard, tennis. Plus, many areas within walking distance. It was truly a stay in Paradise!

Mattresses ancient, soft, bouncy, no support. A/C didn't work twice, 3 days total. Replaced air filter which was coated with thick layer of dust. Bought vegetable peeler, can opener and knife sharpener. Bathrooms, rugs and coaches could use updating - or steam cleaning. Great location.

We spent 6 weeks here. We are so sad to have to leave. The unit has everything we needed. There were zero maintenance issues. If we did need to communicate with the property manager (about move out process), they responded quickly. Cons: small tv in the living room. Pros: tons of storage space; plenty of seating area; washer dryer in unit; multiple pools; lots of walking areas; quiet building; friendly neighbors; dolphins outside your living room! I would definitely recommend this place as a great place to stay in beautiful Marco Island!

We can tell the owner only uses it as a rental. Upon arrival we immediately had a long list of needed repairs and deficient items. The kitchen needed to be cleaned and the kitchen items needed to be put through the dishwasher. It was very inadequately stocked. We had to go out and purchase numerous items just to function. The master bedroom bed was uncomfortable and the couches equaled what would be found in a college kids apartment. The plumbing had to be repaired in the master bath. The list goes on. To their credit the management company was very responsive and immediately corrected what was brought to their attention. We will not be returning to this property.

The location was great, close to stores and restaurants as well as the beach. We loved all of the amenities, the multiple pools, pickleball, bocce, shuffleboard, etc. We rented bikes and there were bike racks where we could lock up and keep our bikes. There were a few negatives however. The unit itself was older and needs to be renovated/updated, but I could tell from the photos that it was older so I didn't go into it blindly. It also wasn't completely cleaned when we got there. In the guest room under the beds were underwear and other items. We cleaned that out and washed ALL of the bedding, along with cleaning the rest of the unit myself. It wasn't all dirty but it definitely hadn't been unoccupied for a while.The South Seas complex is nice overall but they do appear to have an issue with rats. While I saw none IN the buildings I did go to my car one morning and found a dead one right at my driver door! Then also saw a couple of other dead rats in the streets/lots. It's a big complex so these things are common issues and they do address it, but they might want to be a little more aggressive about it.Overall it was a very good experience. Any issues we had were addressed immediately, like the terrible internet/wifi connection, within hours we had a new updated router. So between the condo complex and the rental company most any issue we had, which really weren't many, were handled promptly and courteously. We would definitely recommend and consider staying at South Seas again.

We enjoyed our stay at this pleasant, clean and well stocked condo with a lovely view from the lanai of the bay. It is a short walk to the beach which is beautiful and great for sun bathing, swimming and walking. The pool is large and the people we met there were friendly.
