North Redington Beach, Florida
Redington Surf Resort unit #9 is a one bedroom condo with the "Gulf of Mexico in it's back yard"! This second floor unit is accessible by stairs, and overlooks the pool. It offers a new King size bed, cable TV, a chair and a sleeper sofa in the living room area. The bathroom has a shower and bathtub and a fully equipped kitchen with a full size refrigerator and stove. Free Wi-Fi. One assigned parking space provided. Redington Surf Resort is located right on the beautiful beach of North Redington Beach. Close proximity to restaurants and shopping, and easy access to the trolley. The property offers a heated swimming pool. The shuffleboard court, BBQ grills, covered picnic tables, and sun deck are all beach front so you can soak in the gorgeous view.
Place was exactly as described and shown. The only issue we had was the heating/air conditioning unit would kick on at night because it was so loud and rattled.
The check in process was very confusing and I had to go to another location on the day of check in for an in-person check in. There was confusion with a hurricane that came through the area and when trying to figure out arrangements, I spoke to several extremely rude people. I did finally speak with one kind person who helped me. The unit itself was clean, but nothing to write home about. There was an issue with a neighbor in which the police had to be called. I would not recommend this property or the property company in the future.
It was a great location with a pool so the good overweighed the bad.
I love Redington Surf Resort and have stayed here many times. It is a quaint little seaside resort and is close to so many things to do. The beach was wonderful and clean.
I’ve had a good experience with this company, and their customer experience. I’ve stayed at different units in the same building.
Condo was clean and convenient. Restaurants within walking distance. Office was closed and had to call office manager twice to get into condo.
Just went for a long weekend and it was great location and enjoyed the beach
The unit has no storage. Closet in bedroom full of items trash can ,laundry basket, pillows and bedding. 2 of the drawers of the bedroom dresser full of extra towels. Hall closet full of cleaning supplies and a mess. Kitchen supplies need to be audited. Dozens of cups. Lids with no corresponding pot or pan had to purchase a knife as the only one supplied was a bread knife. Lots of useless items. Location is great. Unit needs some modifications to make it more vacation friendly and not have your guests live out of their suitcase in the living area while there. Community laundry room filthy.
Great location on canal - even saw dolphins. Both bathrooms needs some maintenance in showers/bath.
Wonderful welcoming surroundings, a beach out the back door, and easy access to all that is the Tampa and Saint Pete area… We will be returning. I love the location quiet, peaceful and yet a short drive gets me in the middle of everything. Highly recommend this location.
Property nice, management not on premises. Key pad locked me out. Bullied and sworn at on the beach by vendor of chairs. Got 2nd floor instead ad of ground.. I'm 77. Poor job. Very disappointed.
The property is older and has character. The unit was clean but dated. It appears there was some updating in the 80's. The workman ship on the updates was poor.and the interior maintenance of the unit is sub par. We had the misfortune of staying a the unit during the arrival of a strong cold front. The night time temperatures dipped into the low 40's. for three nights in a row. It was good that the unit was small, only 400 square feet because the central heating did not work. We woke up to low 60 degree temperature in the unit. Fortunately the combination of small room size and a functioning oven warmed up the unit in short order. The unit had 2 TV's and 4 remotes. I followed the instructions provided in the 3 ring binder that had 3 pages of instructions for the TV controls and Wifi connections. The remotes for the TV did not work however 1of the 2 remotes provided for the cable boxes did. I changed batteries in the non working cable box remote and determined that there was an issue with the remote not the batteries. During our stay we lost internet connection for a day and a half. Our electronic devices indicated that they were connected to the modem. The mattress is about 6 years old. One side of the mattress is still relatively firm however the other side sags and the edge is worn out, giving you the feeling that you are going to roll out of bed. Toward the end of our stay the weather warmed up nicely, so much so that many of the units started to use air conditioning. I cannot comment on the air conditioning as we did not use it. Unit #9 (the unit we stayed in) is near the mid point of the building on the second floor. There are a few units on the third floor to the west end of the building that overlook the beach. These units have their air conditioner condensing units located on the roof over unit #9. While most of these condensing units run quietly there is one that is quite loud. The ambient sound in the bedroom a night averaged about 38 decibels. There is an air conditioning condensing unit on the roof that needs replacement. When this unit starts the sound level goes from 38 to 50 decibels. While one can fall asleep in a 50 decibel area the cycling of the condensing unit off and on approximately every 8 minutes is annoying. The sound of the condensing unit is similar to a helicopter about 2 blocks away. In my opinion I would not recommend staying in this unit.
This is an older property but very well maintained. We thought it was very cute, reminded me of staying at motels when on holiday with my family in the 60’s and 70’s. It was quiet and the beach was wonderful and right out the back. The unit has everything you need although the pots and pans are a bit warped and thin and a sharp knife would be great. The furnishings are good. Largely comfortable. Bed too hard for me but I suppose that’s a matter of taste. A pillow top would probably suit most people more. We had an unpleasant encounter with someone who answers the manager phone after hours and he hung up on us but the problem we were calling about did get fixed. There was some confusion about check in as the communication indicates you “may” choose to have contactless check in or you could check in at the office. I elected the office and there was no one there. We called and were told our access info would be in a lockbox, which it wasn’t. However a very nice woman was able to tell us how to access our suite. But all holidays are about location and this location is perfect. Many good restaurants nearby, awesome beach access and we would return anytime.
Perfect size for two people, very clean and easy access to the beach and surrounding area for restaurants and shopping.
I'll definitely consider this place again for my next visit to Florida
