A truly unique location on Mammoth Mountain ! Timber Ridge is the highest location in Mammoth, looking down over Canyon Lodge and the Owens Valley. Ski in and ski out (down) to Chair 8 and Canyon Lodge or to Chair 15 & 24 at Eagle Express where lift tickets are sold and miss the lines at Canyon Lodge. (In the summer these same runs become a world class mountain bike trail). The condo has gorgeous views of the Sherwin Range from the living room and master bedroom. The clubhouse directly across from the condo features 'his and hers' saunas, a large spa and a summertime swimming pool. This small complex is surrounded by the national forest, creating a woodsy, remote atmosphere. Nightlife is down the hill (approximately 2 miles) where there are many excellent restaurants and bars.

Remodeled 'down to the studs' two years ago, the kitchen and bathrooms feature custom cabinetry and stone accents as well as heated travertine floors throughout (except for bedrooms where there is new carpet). Sitting in the living room in front of a roaring fire, the view is of surrounding forest and the Owens Valley below. The kitchen with it's custom cabinetry, new appliances and extensive cookware make it easy to stay in and enjoy a meal at home. The master bedroom invites escape with a flat screen tv, gorgeous view of the Owens Valley from the 4 poster bed and a 3/4 bath featuring a heated floor, custom stone accents and a frameless shower enclosure.

The second bedroom has heated, carpeted floors, mirrored wardrobes and a comfortable extra large chair and ottoman. The double twin trundle bed can be attached to become a king bed. Two large windows make the room light and airy.

The garage is attached with stairway access so there is never a need to unearth your car after a snowstorm. The association owns a snowplow/loader which plows our driveways immediately in the event of a storm.

After a day on the mountain, ski home thru the woods (there are trail markers on Bluejay and Chickadee pointing the way to Timber Ridge). Come home to hot drinks, a crackling fire and beautiful sunset views. Go for a soak and a sauna at the clubhouse across the driveway. Make dinner at home or go to one of the terrific restauants just down the hill.

Area activities include superb cross country skiing (just down Lake Mary Road at the Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center), snowmobiling, dog sledding, sledding and back country snowshoeing. Hot springs soaking is popular year around. Summer fun includes golfing, hiking, fishing, backpacking, mountain biking and horseback riding. We are located directly on the world class mountain bike trail that the winter ski runs become in the summer. There are several outlet shops in town including Ralph Lauren and Bass for the less motivated.

As a result of the mountain being developed the last few years, there are more great restaurants and nightlife all over town and on the mountain. Most of the lifts are high speed and enclosed. There is gondola service to the top and to a mid-mountain lodge where skiers and non-skiers can enjoy excellent food at a beautiful restaurant as well as great service at the less formal cafe.

Our favorites restaurants are Nevados and Tamarack Lodge (I never get tired of walking through the enclosed entry lined to the rafters on either side by firewood.) Tamarack is authentic old style lodge with a huge fireplace, lots of deep sofas and hot drinks. They serve French food and have a good wine list. Nevados is very good California cuisine and equally good drinks. A fun, less expensive restaurant we eat at is Angel's, just down the road. The Stove on Old Mammoth Road is an institution that serves huge breakfasts. Our favorite after ski is the Yodler across from Main Lodge. No amount of will power has kept us from Schaat's Bakery, a mecca of wonderful bread, gorgeous pastries, mountain size sandwiches and soups. There is a Schaat's in Bishop and another on the main road to the condo.

Condo was comfortable and well equipped. Ski in ski out was as advertised- just a short easy walk up the driveway. The host was very kind and helpful. Would stay here again!

Communication was great, location was great. condo was clean and comfortable. Only downside was not being able to take advantage of the attached garage - our truck would not fit. Otherwise highly recommended.

Did not utilize the 'clubhouse' as it was across the street and there was a lot of snow. Kitchen was stocked. Only issue was the freezer was not accessible (couldn't open the door bc the stove restricted it)

Bed in master was really uncomfortable for my wife and I, and why so high off the ground? Single garage is really tight for an SUV (4Runner). Also needed to take roof rack off to fit. Very limited outside parking. Could not get heat to work in living room. Used space heaters that were fine.

Took my son for his first trip to Mammoth and wanted the convenience of ski in/ski out. This place fulfilled that as access to the slopes was ideal and easy and worked perfectly. Place was comfortable, clean, fully stocked and check-in easy. Nice views from front side a plus too! I would have no problems going back!

This is a fantastic spot for a ski in ski out condo. We really enjoyed the flexibility of being able to come back between runs whenever we needed to. 5/5 Stars!

Excellent property...heart of the mountain and direct access to a well-marked ski trail that is groomed. The unit is well-maintained and with full amenities...we cooked in the unit 3 nights due to the weather and enjoyed the space with family and kids. The wood-burning stove with stacked firewood within arms reach was a nice touch. The owner Diane was awesome and helped us navigate to the unit in dire snow conditions...roads were closed and several were undrivable. With her help and excellent communication we made it! Thanks, Diane!

We've stayed at many places in mammoth and this was by far our favorite. Perched high on the hill with a great view, ski-in and ski-out, clean, updated, comfortable, spacious, well stocked, hot tub in clubhouse close by. Would definitely stay again!

My wife and our three boys stayed here and had a great time. The place is more dated than I was expecting, but the location wins out all day. Everything was in great shape, and we had a great time. I will look to book this place again. We rented quite a few places in Mammoth Lakes and this is so far my favorite. Note the garage is very small. I have a full-size truck and no way was it fitting in the garage. We found parking and it wasn't really snowing so it all worked out. Also, the property owner was very responsive, much appreciated.

Cute, cozy condo located on the 2nd floor. No central heat, but space heater provided for main area & each room has a heater attached to the baseboard area. Once those warm up, the temp was nice in the condo. Kitchen is small but fully stocked. Bathrooms have shampoo & conditioner, but no body wash, so bring your own. No washer or drier, not sure where to do laundry. The clubhouse is right across the street and has a game room/lounging area, jacuzzi, pool & men & women’s sauna. Pool is not open in the winter. It is a ski in/ ski out, but you have to walk up the hill & then ski down to the slope. The trail to come back is marked, but a little technical. I wouldn’t recommend for beginners. They do have a single car garage, which was nice to keep the car out of the elements. Being in between floors gets a bit noisy. We heard our neighbors stomping around late at night & early in the morning, babies crying & people talking, so not for light sleepers. Otherwise, it was a lovely place. Very cozy.

The place is very nice. The bed in the second bedroom is small, almost a twin. It’s a great location although we couldn’t find the right way to ski back and ended up doing some hiking. The one car garage is small. Something like a big truck or suburban might not be able to park in it. Our Mazda CX-5 barely fits.
