Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in the apartment with our son and daughter-in law. The apartment was excellent in every respect, the Ilikai was a very good venue, and we greatly enjoyed our stay.Our only issue was the mishandling of a false fire alarm at 4am. Falso alarms happen. We have experienced them in hotels before. But this event was completely mismanaged by the Ilikai. Firstly, the announcement message was garbled and incomplete. Instead of saying Don't take the elevators, it came out as take the elevators. Then at the bottom of the stairs, there were no Ilikai staff to provide information or direction. Nor were their any other Ilikai staff engaged in managing the false alarm outcome. Then there was a 2nd announcement of a fire alarm after we got back to bed. And finally, there was no acknowledgement or information provided on the event. A simple note to guests the next day explaining the event would have helped. We suggest that VRBO take up with the Ilikai the need for improved management, training and communication relating to fire alarms.

Reviewer Comments: All the previous reviews on the cleanliness of the unit are correct. The carpet is very stained and in need of replacement. There’s a large rust stain in one of the bathrooms and the furniture and some cabinets are frayed and chipped. The balcony floors are also very dirty. There are no cleaning supplies provided other than dish soap.With all that said, did these factors ruin my trip-No. The location and view are why I stayed here.

If you are looking to be right on the beach with access to shops, buses, restaurants, this is the ideal location.

Great view. Enjoyed fireworks over the ocean. Wonderful public transportation.

The kitchen was not at all stocked, there was nothing , not even salt or sugar .Toiletries were good for couple of days only.

The unit's carpet need professionally cleaned and its upholstered furniture also cleaned. Because we were there for a long stay of over a month, we purchased spray can of carpet cleaner to minimize the spots. Professional cleaning would do wonders.The kitchen has old and tired cooking pans, they should be replaced or bring your own skillet. There are wine and water glasses, no cocktail glasses. The beds were comfortable. The building had issues during our stay with the elevators being down for a full day and limited elevators running for several days. This caused long lines in the lobby. The electric was shut off for hours multiple times. This is no fault of unit 2343.Bottom Line: Great place to stay, please professionally clean the carpet and the furniture. Consider purchase of a new fry pan and some cocktail glasses. The pluses out weigh the minuses. Property Management company very prompt and excellent. Thank you

The condo has an amazing view looking out in all directions. The carpet and furniture are in desperate need of cleaning. Kitchen is poorly stocked - no measuring cups, spoons, bowls - minimal but manageable. Unit needs some updating but the view makes up for what is seemingly worn and tired furniture and ripped stained carpet. Management was responsive. Beds comfy.
