Comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bath, condo, oceanfront, ground floor, end unit with private lanai just steps to the beach. This condo provides 1,150 square feet of living space. Cal King bed in the primary and a set of twin beds in the guest bedroom (convertible to a King upon request- housekeeping fee of $52 applies). Sofa/sleeper provided for additional sleeping. Pack n Play available upon request. Beautifully remodeled kitchen and bathrooms. TV in the living room and primary bedroom. Safe in unit. Beach Gear provided includes: Beach towels, chairs, umbrella, cooler.

Beachfront on the east shore of Kauai, Pono Kai Resort is a centrally located Kauai vacation rental with easy access to the North or South shores of Kauai. Approximately 8 miles from the Lihue Airport, Pono Kai Resort is located in the town of historic Kapa'a. Situated on 13 tropical acres. This Kauai oceanfront condo is within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, boutiques and banks. Swim right on the beach front of Pono Kai Resort or lounge pool side and enjoy the outdoor spa and sauna. Barbecue stations are located throughout the property along w/laundry facilities in each building.

The Pono Kai Resorts east side location makes it easy to get to Kilauea Lighthouse, Hanalei Bay and Haena State Beach Park to the north or Poipu Beach to the south. Nearby attractions in Kapaa include Kealia Beach, Lydgate State Beach Park for snorkeling, Kamalani Playground with a volcano tube, Sleeping Giant Hiking Trail, Wailua Falls, Opaeka'a Falls and the Fern Grotto boat ride are just a sample of what's available on Kauai's eastern shores.

Beachfront at an affordable price makes this Kauai condo a fantastic value. Humpback whales breaching can be seen from your private lanai during the months of November through April or walk along the shores early morning and you may be the first to discover a glass ball.

    Location, location, location. We had access to everything. Apartment was also lovely to hang out in. Beach access was right out back door. What an amazing stay!

    The property was spacious for a family of 4 and we were very comfortable. The kitchen had what we needed. It was super clean but I was told because it’s a privately owned property, house keeping was an additional charge which we did not opt to pay (and didn’t feel we should) for a 7 day stay. So the floors got a bit grubby and it would have been nice to have fresh towels. It’s important to note this property is NOT beach front. It is definitely ocean front where the property looks directly to the ocean with no obstruction. There is a retaining wall with very choppy waters. The beach was close by and visible from the unit but the waters were not safe and we never saw anyone in the water. In general this side of the island was not the best in terms of weather or water conditions. This was our 3rd visit and the least favorable location.The overall property grounds are well maintained with a lot of activities. We did not experience any bugs. You can hear the neighbors upstairs walking around (sounds like stomping) and flushing the toilet. We also had to deal with the water being turned off for 4 hours which is not ideal when you are on vacay at a resort and could not get late check out due to our unit being fumigated. We just don’t expect this from vacationing at a resort property. This was not related to Garden Island Properties who are terrific. but the actual property.

    To say this property is beautiful is an understatement!! The condo was clean, well kept and the view of the Pacific was amazing to wake up to each morning!! So many amenities and things to do at the resort and lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

This unit was everything we could have wanted and more. It was big enough for our family of four and we loved having two bathrooms and A/C throughout the whole condo. The views of the ocean from the master bedroom and the patio were amazing. We loved staying here and can't wait to come back!
