Stayed Nov 29, 2021Booking to stay at the Poipu Kapili was super simple. Right up until a few days prior to check in. Pandemic rules were different for international travelers versus US travelers, and Parrish Collection (the property managers) would email, with form/template email. Not recognizing questions or requests. Just a form letter coming back as a response. Eventually had to make a phone call and after several attempts, I got someone on the phone and was able to get the answers needed. Once on the phone the folks I worked with were very pleasant. The troubles with Parrish didn't stop there. There was confusion on Check-in time (which should be a no-brainer), and then once checked in, we were give a code to lock-box - which held the room key, and we were instructed that Keys would be left in the unit. Those keys were not to the Unit. Hence another call to Parrish, and when I found their office and returned the keys, they informed us the key were to the neighbor unit. That aside, the unit is spacious and very well appointed. It's decently maintained, but there are items in the unit that need some TLC. There are sliding shutters that bind and jam up. The kitchen cupboards although look nice, the hinges are terrible and doors either don't close or slam shut. The carpeting in the bedrooms needs cleaning, several stains. Overall this is a very nice place, but for the nightly rate, I'd expect that there weren't so many little issues to deal with. Overall, there were Great aspects, Ok aspects and ugly aspects. The Great: the location, the views, and the Poipu Kapili grounds were fantastic. Can't be beat. The Ok: The unit itself is huge, and decently appointed with pretty much everything you need. The ugly: dealing with Parrish Collection, and the items mentioned above that need repair. PS- we met many of the neighbors in the other units and all were very welcoming and some even gifted us food as they were checking out.

Stayed May 7, 2018We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. The location was very convenient walking distance to beaches, restaurants, and shopping. The view and the setting of the ocean just in front was gorgeous. A few reasons for only 4 stars...The road in front is pretty busy with loud trucks and motorcycles during the day. I might not be so sensitive if we didn't have napping children. The pool was really nice, but we missed having a hot tub. The a/c unit was working but needed to be emptied of water every 30 minutes from the humidity. Luckily the cross breeze was cooling enough on most days. The unit only supplied 3 beach chairs (not a huge deal but seemed to be inappropriate for a unit that sleeps 5 people.) The beds in the non-master suite were a bit squeaky with small movement. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!
