Other things to note
Our cleaning fee is for basic cleaning, any excessive cleaning will be charged for accordingly. We ask guests to remove their trash, start the dishwasher and start a load of towels on departure.
As we live in the mountains, we do get critters, bats, bugs, bears, etc, so we ask guests to p,ease keep screens closed when doors are open. If we have to get someone in to remove any of these, there may be a fee charged to you.
Due to the crazy nature of our world right now, we strongly suggest that whenever you take a trip you purchase a travel insurance to guard against unforeseen circumstances beyond ones control (fire, weather, illnesses, etc…) VRBO do offer travel insurance
We appreciated the well-stocked spices and coffee. The good blinds and curtains are also a huge plus and are very frequently lacking in places like this. Especially in the summer when the sun comes up early. However, we were all surprised by how dirty it was. I put my hand on the banister on the way up to the kitchen and it came away completely covered in dirt. The blinds were also completely covered in dust. The bathroom mat looked so filthy we had to wash it before we used it. Everyone in our group independently came to the same conclusion that it was unacceptably dirty. I contacted the owner in case there had been an accidental oversight by the cleaning crew. We were pretty much told that the cleaning crew only did the basics like put dishes away, change sheets, and clean bathrooms and kitchen, and that it had been a very busy season. They only do a deep clean once a season. I’m not sure what our cleaning fee is supposed to cover but it seems like that stuff would be pretty standard. We have a cleaner at home who cleans much more thoroughly for less. Overall, it is just disheartening to show up at a place I have to clean it before you can enjoy your vacation. Also, don’t underestimate the stairs. They are in the description, but they are narrow, steep, and unavoidable.
Lake Village is an older community. We live close by & always enjoy visiting the area. The maintenance of the facility is pristine & the staff is great. Kitchen appliances were wonderful. Beautiful fridge (and it was clean) & a very nice coffee maker that we appreciated. Lots of cookware & dishes. Oven & Stove top were very nice. You can enjoy cooking here. Seating area for dining was great for a group. WiFi easy to connect. Large TV with lots of sitting space for everyone. The decor gives a lovely mountain vacation feel. Bathrooms & showers were clean. The sliding door does not have a screen. Which makes it difficult for air circulation. You could barely open the slider. It does need repair. I noticed someone mentioned that a year ago. The upstairs bedroom mattress has exceeded its life, you roll into the middle. The shower door doesn't work very good. If possible avoid using the upstairs bedroom. There is a white binder with tips for the area & clear check out instructions. Towels in washer & sheets off the bed. To which I hear EEWW!! from a bedroom. Yep. A flimsy mattress pad with urine stains. Disappointing. Mattress & pillow protector covers would be a plus.
We had a great stay at the condo! We traveled during bad weather and ended up adding an extra night and Allison was incredibly awesome to deal with!
Very nice clean property, ready to use ie plate ware, dishes to make food at home and then all to clean afterward. Great location to Stateline entertainment. Quiet neighborhood. Easy checkin/out process.
Start with the property manager telling me that we didn't have reservations a week before our visit. She finally found them after a few minutes. The place needs to be renovated. The upstairs bathroom shower sliding door to the bath is all impossible to open. One of the handles is gone, The bathroom lighting is rusted and the sliding door to the deck is stuck once you open it. No air in the place for $400 a night, Someone need to inspect the rental before renting it again and change the description
Amazing weekend ,great location , awesome so many bathrooms , easy check in communication great but condo just could have been a little cleaner. Under beds and under couches unbelievable dirty made you wonder how you pay so much for cleaning and floors were dirty.
Great stay. Condo was a perfect location and design for our family with living area on the second floor and bedrooms on the 1st and 3rd. Manager was very responsive when we struggled with the TV. Another option would have been a plus since my Xfinity account couldn’t be used on another TV.
