Pga West, 2 Br Condo, One Level, On Palmer Golf Course, Breathtaking View!

The location was lovely. The property was very tired and long in the tooth! The owners replaced the king mattress after we moved into the spare bed within the first few days of our stay because the king mattress was brutally broken down. It was an awkward position to put us in! The sliding door was not repaired by the owner after bringing it to her attention, so we repaired it ourselves, just so that we could get fresh air and stop bugs from entering the condo. The owner replaced the garage door opening (27-30 yrs old, the serviceman said) as it was only working intermittently for us. The carpet was dirty with terrible spots and stains throughout. There were no king blankets for the king bed. We had to buy some! The living room couch was made of wicker and no matter how many pillows you piled behind you, it was unfortunately a very uncomfortable place to sit, especially for a long term monthly rental. We purchased a few items that were missing from the kitchen, such as a salad bowl and serving spoons. Not earth shattering, but annoying. We could not close the garage man-door as two screws were missing from the latch. The kitchen taps were reversed with ‘hot water on right’ and cold water on left’. There are more maintenance items but this gives a general overall impression of the property. We expected much more from a condo whose owners asked a very dear price for their unit. The unit could be welcoming and warm if maintained with an eye to comfort.

This was a pleasant home with all the basics covered. The host was super responsive to a couple of inquiries. Spotty TV and phone connection because La Quinta is in a valley, I guess. Very relaxing.
