This Village Monache 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom located in the heart of the Village provides prime access to the Canyon Lodge/Village Gondola and outstanding hotel amenities. Overlooking the pool, you can enjoy Mountain view on one of two balconies and watch the Gondola go by, and even bring Fido as this condo is also pet-friendly! Relax in the spacious living area next to the cozy gas fireplace and enjoy the large flatscreen TV, cook and entertain in the fully stocked kitchen or take advantage ofthe many amenities located on grounds including year-round heated pool, jacuzzi, fitness room, ski locker, 24/7 marketplace, and underground heated garage parking. The master bedroom features a King bed with Heavenly mattress, flatscreen TV and access to your own private balcony. A spacious en-suite bathroom with both soaking tub and walk-in shower, and large vanity. The second bedroom also features a King bed with a Heavenly mattress and access to the private balcony (which is also accessible from the living room), flatscreen TV. This bedroom also has an en-suite with tiled walk-in shower. The living room has a sofa bed for extra overnight guests, and a separate dining space that seats 6. The full kitchen offers all major appliances including a double door fridge making it easy to prepare meals for the family.     The location of the hotel was excellent. However, our stay was significantly impacted by the pool and jacuzzi being under construction. This resulted in a lack of access to these amenities and constant loud noise starting early in the morning, which also made our balcony unusable due to the noise and a persistent bad smell.While our unit was as expected, the furnishings are showing signs of significant wear. The pillows and couches were worn, and one of the pillows was completely ripped. For a hotel of Westin's quality, we also expected better than single-ply toilet paper.

    Great location across the street from Mammoth Village. Wonderful views of mountains. Fantastic location to ride out and access road and gravel bike trails. Some construction noise in the area so bring some ear buds or a white noise machine if you are a light sleeper.

Walk to village, the gondola, and in the summer take the free shuttle to visit other lakes and go hiking, horse back riding or biking.

    We really enjoyed our stay at the Westin. The apartment was nice enough and we loved having a big table for family dinners. The hotel amenities were really nice and the staff was as well. My only real critique is that driving to a separate office to pick up keys and parking permits was inconvenient. A few other notes — not actual critiques but just notes: the apartment didn’t have an oven mitt and the doors to the balconies are really REALLY hard to open.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For the most part this unit was great! Location is perfect for Village and Gondola for skiing. Unit is clean and new, no pet smells. There were a couple perks that probably wouldn't have been an issue if this unit were managed by the Westin or an on-site manager. The master bath toilet and sink were very slow to flush and drain.....annoying, but not bad enough to go through the hassle of getting maintenance. There are 3 TVs in the unit, but each is on different system. Master bedroom has basic cable, 2nd bedroom didn't work when we arrived but after a maintenance call, we got it working with basic cable. The living room TV is only streaming enabled, no cable. This was an issue for us as we were there during the Super Bowl and couldn't get any network service until we had to purchase a streaming package. Not a deal breaker but super annoying considering how much we paid to stay there.
