Peaceful Retreat Lackawanna 1D-Close to Ski Cooper and Turquoise Lake!

Great location and beautiful cabin. Will be back next year

Everything was clean and cozy. The kitchen and bath were well equipped with anything a person might need.

Great spot to stay! Close to town and close to Ski Cooper. The designated parking sign was not super easy to see after dark when we arrived, and all the lights were off so needed a flashlight to see the entry. The kitchen was small and there is not a full sized fridge (so if you’re planning more than a few days might be difficult). There was a stain on the mattress pad on the pullout bed, which was fun to explain to our kids. Ultimately, it had everything we needed to get by for a couple nights and would happily stay here again.

We had a great two night stay! We were in town for a wedding so we did little more than sleep here but the bed was comfy so sleep great we did! The place was super clean and just as described. If we are ever in the area again we will look to stay here.

We had a wonderful time! My only complaint was the ceiling fans were very dusty and wish we had more freezer space to place frozen food items. Other than this everything was perfect.

Nice place tucked amongst the Ponderosa Pines, quietly located just outside downtown Leadville. Turquoise Lake just down the street. A beautiful beach, clear water for swimming, and biking/hiking alongside it. Lackawanna is a little piece of heaven, away from the town.

This is a wonderful home base for exploring the Leadville area. It’s beautiful and quiet but close enough to enjoy town too. I’ve stayed here before and will come back!

Fantastic location! Space was adequate for 1 or 2 people. Kitchen space is a little tight and so there were limited appliances, but overall a good stay, prompt checkin/checkout, and decent amenities.

Perfect location for skiing at Cooper and visiting the town of Leadville. The condo/cabin is clean and comfortable. Basic kitchen needs are available.

Have stayed in this building 5 times! 10 minutes from downtown Leadville or Mineral Belt XC Trail, 15 from Ski Cooper, 20 from the Trails at the Fish Hatchery. We use it as a base for multiple winter sports outings. Lodging is a combo of a cabin and a condo - fully equipped but with a woodsy feel. Mud room is perfect of storing and drying out gear. Shared laundry is a big plus.

The place is great, we would be happy to stay again. The only slight issue - cleaning requirements before departure are a bit excessive and check out tikenverybearly

Being our first VRBO, it was a little nerve wracking when we arrived from the other side of the country to find the door code provided wasn’t working. I tried calling the property manager and main numbers listed multiple times, but no one would answer or call back. I finally found a third phone number in the welcome brochure to call where I finally reached someone who promptly resolved the issue, 30 minutes later. Other than this issue, the place was better than described! Very cozy and clean overall, and the heated floors were phenomenal. Some frustrations: I couldn’t find the outdoor dumpster in the dark the morning of our departure, there was basically no freezer space, and the single small sink made it tough to do dishes. Otherwise, I’d still probably book this place again and hope the code works the first time!

This place was just what we needed to unwind and relax. The area is beautiful and peaceful, and the inside is equally beautiful and comfortable with great amenities.

The cabin was as described. It was clean and the furniture was comfortable. While the listing is accurate, it would be helpful to spell out that the refrigerator is a small, dorm size and not a full size with a freezer. If we had brought something like ice cream or a gallon of milk, we'd have been in trouble. The freezer will hold a small ice cube tray, that's about it. Still, we had a great time and really enjoyed the space.

Very comfortable bed and quiet setting so great sleep. Was able to catch up on laundry after one week on the road. Small kitchen, but all the basics that you need. Very accommodating host and responsive!

Nicely remote but near Leadville. A complete retreat feeling.

This is a very nice quiet unit in a fourplex. Building is designed so there is good privacy. Accommodation was clean and efficient for two people. We based here for hiking adventures and it served us well. The only drawback is the small refrigerator/freezer. We were informed it was full sized, but it is an under-counter model with a tiny freezer. We adapted using a cooler in the mud room. This may be important to guests planning to eat in as we did. Otherwise, all good!

Very clean with everything we needed. We prepared several meals outside on the very nice gas grill. We would definitely love to come back.

One night was all that was available, would have stayed longer otherwise. The bath tub could be improved by adding grab bars.

A wonderful location close to town but away from the hustle and bustle! Easy to get there, very clean, and cozy! Loved it! Would definitely stay again!

Enjoyed our week stay in Leadville, location was fantastic, comfort of the cabin was great.

We stayed a week at this cabin for a week and it was so nice and quiet, you could see all the stars every night because there’s very few lights outside amazing! It’s a great location and close to the town of Leadville, just a short drive to Turquoise lake. We had the best time.

Really great property for a long weekend get-away. Very nicely appointed kitchen with everything you would want. Comfortable bed and linens. Nice to have a porch for late afternoon libations.

Beautiful property with abundance of outdoor activity all around. Cabin was very comfortable & very well-equipped. Had a wonderful time & would definitely return.
