Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our 3rd time in a row staying in this unit. We stay here due to its location to the beach and food options. The location of the property is amazing. As explained in prior reviews, the unit in general is old, stale. The couch and chair are worn out, the bed is not comfortable anymore, and the TV is old. Some simple upgrades like furniture (bed, couch, chair), carpet and a smart TV bigger than the 20in they have are modest upgrades. The unit price continues to go up every year, but nothing is being put back in the unit, no updates. I guess the other side of that coin is we keep coming back, basically because of location. Last year the response was the owners were going to update the unit, but there were new towels and knives and that's it. I wish they'd invest in the unit a bit seeing that the rates continue to rise, but we keep coming. Looking at other options next year, overall we enjoyed our stay.

The location was great. We were able to walk to the beach every day. However the condo although very clean is worn out and dated and we will not return.

Short walk to beach access, easy walk to Marco Walk “mall” where there is multiple restaurants, boutique shopping & movie. This Essex unit is a little dated compared to others BUT is extremely clean and comfortable. The unit is well stocked with all linens, kitchen tools/accessories and beach items. Only recommendation to the owner is update the master bed mattress and the only reason for 4 out of 5 rating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would definitely return to this unit, and recommend to others.

We enjoy the Tommy Bahama beach chairs provided which allow us to easily back pack our stuff to the beach. Very nice pool.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd year staying in 203S at the Essex. The location has to be one of the best non-beach front locations in Marco. For location, it's absolutely phenomenal. The unit is in desperate need of a modern upgrade. From the living room furniture to the beds, and the TV's are very dated. The carpet might need an upgrade in the next few years. Kitchen supplies are adequate. The pool was very enjoyable as well if you can tolerate the scowls from the retired folks when the kids arrive. Overall, great stay mostly due to location. Hopefully the unit can get some upgrades as we left the same review last year.

Just a few small problems: 1.one day the water was turned off and we were not notified in advance - good thing we weren't in the shower! (learned later there was a note in the elevator but we never used elevator, so never saw it).2. Screen door was broken. 3. Light bulb burned out in the hallway by the wahser/dryer

We are already signed up for five weeks next year in the same unit. Everything was just fine except that the sheets and towels should be of better quality.

Great escape for the entire family. The location was great, very close to beach access. The property had everything we needed.
