Everything was great about the room. Only minor challenge was the neighborhood roosters were noisy all night long. Location was great for catching the bus.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are a retired couple and had 4 nights here. Overall we were very satisfied. The location was good and the place was very clean. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The kitchen was adequately equipped but the toaster only toasted one side of bread at a time and the coffee maker was basic. There was a partial ocean view from the balcony but it was pleasant to sit there.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property manager Byron was great and responded promptly to all our issues. The place was a decent size with a nice balcony view but could use additional cleaning. We found live cockroach in the silverware drawer crawling over the utensils and one in the bathtub. The property manager at least came the next day to set cockroach traps around the unit and we didn’t see any after setting the traps. The front door lock also started malfunctioning after our second day but they did respond promptly and replace it with a new lock. Would have appreciated better cleaning such as less dirty floors in the kitchen and we noticed dirt and food on the dishes in the cabinets which may be guests putting back dirty dishes instead of cleaning them since there was no dishwasher. The unit was stocked with all necessary kitchen utensils and cookware but did not have any spices or even salt not cooking oil. When I booked the unit the charge on my card was ~$100 higher than what was in my confirmation. I found they added an additional property insurance cancellation fee I did not agree to but at least they removed this when I said I denied this coverage.

We like the convenience of this property to the beach, zoo, etc. The east side of Waikiki is our prefrence. We always take Kapahulu Ave. in and out of Waikiki to escape the bottleneck roads of Ala Moana and Kalakaua. We will stay here again, if the price is right. We use to live on the Big Island, then moved to the beautiful State of Idaho. We now visit family and friends 3xs a year.

My Mother, Daughter and I stayed here for a week and this place did not disappoint. The views are breathtaking, the condo was a great size and was so well equipped, and the beds (even the hyda-couch) were very comfortable. We bothered our contact for the condo (Byron) a few times when we first arrived (because we didn’t read our instructions well enough) and he was so responsive. The place is clean, had everything we needed for our stay, and all three generations of us told each other that we would tell our friends to book here if they were coming to Waikiki. One wee complaint, so that y’all know this review is for real, there was no plug for the kitchen sink. ? manageable. If you’re thinking of staying here, don’t let the extremely odd review dissuade you, this place does not disappoint!! Thank you for having us ?

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a good place to stay close enough to walk to shopping and the beach. Price was decent and it was very clean. Loved having access to laundry and a nice pool. Only thing I would change is courtesy of security guards and repair the latch and lock on the door did not ever shut quite secure.

I booked this place as it seemed to meet all our needs for accommodations plus affordability. It is a simple unit in an old building but it had everything we needed. The bed slept amazing, I loved that it had AC and it was close to the beach. However, on day five of 9 we got a notice slipped under our door that the last four days we would have intermittent power and no AC (90 degree days). There was no warning and we were not told this when we booked. Unfortunately we could not finish our stay at this unit. Byron the property manager Text us two options to relocate but they did not have the same requirements as this unit. He offered a slight discount for the inconvenience but I have not been able to get a response back from him since we left. I had to find a hotel last minute and incur extra cost just so we could have the same level of a room I paid for up front. I didn’t expect Captain Cook to take on the entire expense of us leaving but to not hear from them again is unacceptable. I will never use Captain Cooke again. Use caution when booking and just know you could get surprised by brown outs with little to no warning. I will say, if this hiccup didn’t happen the unit would’ve been fine and met our needs. Simple, understated but did the job, until we had no power and AC on the 18th floor for the majority of our final four days. Note: there are food options nearby to walk to and easy to Uber. The beach distance is also walkable but in Aug the buildings blocked the sunset.

First time visit for our teen girls and the location did not disappoint. Walkable location to Waikiki Beach and restaurants was super easy. We would definitely return if the condo was available

We did end up staying at this property. When I called for check in they informed us the plumbing was broken and they needed to move us. Byron and Jean at Captain Cook Resorts relaly went the extra mile to help us get into a new condo that fit my families needs. I will include my star ratings for the Ilikai #624.

Not fancy, but clean and had everything you'd need (except for measuring spoons!)for a nice stay in Waikiki. The AC is a little loud, but great if you like white noise when you sleep. Close to beach, zoo, aquarium, tons of restaurants and the bus lines so we didn't need to rent a car. Woke up to roosters and monkeys from the zoo every morning. Nice sunsets on the balcony. Would definitely stay again.
