Paradise By The Sea at Villas of Hatteras Landing - 1 Bedroom Near-Beach Condos with Pool Access

Perfect location

Hello,I didn't want to send anything too extensive yesterday as we were sevely irritable and exhausted from our 9 hour trip down from New Jersey. I am reaching out regarding my recent reservation from 8/24 to 8/26 at Paradise By the Sea at Villas of Hatteras Landing. Unfortunately, upon arrival we found the condo had a roach infestation. As you can imagine, this was not acceptable especially with my wife and two young children after a full day of travel. At that point, we had no choice but to leave and secure alternate accommodations at our own expense.I did have to find other accommodations last minute which, as you can imagine, were expensive, but I did what was necessary for my family. That part is on me all I am requesting is a refund for what was booked through VRBO.I have photos documenting the roaches. While this was a very disappointing experience, I believe the fair resolution is a full refund for the reservation.Despite this incident, I value VRBO as a service and hope to use it again under better circumstances. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter, and I look forward to your reply.

Check-in was very easy. It was very nice and clean. We really enjoyed staying there and would stay there again.

Nice room, extra towels and blankets and pillows. Lovely kitchen and living room arrangement. Nice pool, easy to walk to nearby shops and a lovely boardwalk in the marsh area. Loved the laundry and ice machine access. Problems: the door stuck and it was a struggle to open and close it every single time. The microwave convection oven didn’t have the correct instructions. Had to look them up online. Same with the dishwasher. More information on ocean beach access would’ve been helpful.

Well kept, very clean

This property is exactly what my son and I were looking for while we visited Hatteras.

Just a couple of minor issues- no toilet paper anywhere. Had to use Kleenex. Also found Cocoa Puffs and gummy bears on the floor?!

Great convenience being so close to the ferry.

Very close to the beach access and local shops. Room met all needs and was clean.

Nice room except toilet rocks back & forth like crazy. Door entrance code & laundry room code I received were WRONG…..very annoying & time consuming to get it straightened out

Office staff and maintenance folks were very helpful. We had one or two minor maintenance issues and they were responsive. Easy beach access is about a 7 minute walk. We enjoyed the location very much. It is convenient to Hatteras Landing and there are very nice boardwalks behind the property. At the time of our stay, the property was undergoing some large-scale maintenance. It seemed like something that would improve the overall aesthetics of the building, but made things a bit haphazard at the time of our stay. For the price, this was a nice property.

The location was perfect for us. Unit is just as described and I would recommend for a comfortable, enjoyable visit to Hatteras island. We all enjoyed the variety of surrounding restaurants and shops. Communicating via sms was a great convenience.

This place was perfect for my son and I to stay. Very clean and located near great resturants. Would love to come back again.

perfect spot right next to the Cedar Island ferry. only issue was the AC unit in the bedroom was very loud. The one in the living room was much quieter. overall great place and perfect for our family of 3!

I had a little trouble with the sign in -- the agreement had a small yellow icon and the writing above it was black letters on dark background so hard to read. I called and was talked through it. We were not told how to access the ice machine door and didn't try our code. We were not told about the beach access but a nice young gentleman working on the premises told us. The accommodations were great for us. Proximity to the ferry was good. We would like to return one day and stay longer.
