OCEANFRONT, remodeled, 2bd/2ba Penthouse - Sands of Kahana 281

Condo was exactly as advertised. Incredible views-loved seeing the whales and even a few turtles from the balcony. Location is fantastic-nice pool, right on the beach, Captain Jack’s restaurant on site. Can’t wait to go back!

Loved our stay on this property! Great location and beautiful views.

I gave 3 stars for the outstanding views but the condo needs improvements. We saw plenty whales, some breached the water. Huge turtles swimming in the water. The beach is very eroded so don’t plain on going there. There are many beaches around the area though. The AC doesn’t work in the bedroom. They said we would be getting a discount which we didn’t receive. There is also truly only 1 bedroom. A loft doesn’t count as another bedroom as it isn’t enclosed. If you don’t mind the AC not working in the bedroom you should be fine. It’s one on the reasons we booked there. The realty company insisted after a couple days that the AC did work but it never cooled down in there even with the fans they gave us. Yes, all windows rows and doors were closed.

Accommodations were excellent! The view from all the different rooms had ocean view which was so spectacular! The penthouse was very clean and there was plenty of room for all eight of us. Our children and grandchildren also loved everything about it and the spacious layout.

We enjoyed this condo so much! The views from both balconies were spectacular! The space was very large for the two of us and honestly we spent more time on the balconies when we were in the room. We loved the location, the kitchen was extremely organized and clean. The only complaint we have is that we had to go home! We will definitely be back one day. The mattress could use an upgrade but at the end of the day it didn’t matter so much.

Warm and relaxing atmosphere

This was a wonderful condo to rent for myself, husband, 3-year-old, and parents. It's in an awesome location, on a beautiful beach with super clear and warm water and soft sand. The views from the unit are INSANE and unobstructed. It comes equipped with everything you need, including basic spices and supplies for cooking, beach towels, toys, and chairs, and plenty of linens and towels. They ask that you keep the AC to no lower than 74 degrees and it does get hot, but there are multiple fans throughout the unit. Access to the pool and hot tub were also extremely nice. We will definitely be back!

Overall an amazing experience but a few issues with the air conditioning

Great location for any family. Easy access to so much within minutes. Safe, maintained well. Restaurant on premises is extremely convenient and every meal was excellent, although no discounts for people staying at property and prices are quite high.

My wife and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and decided to take the kids and family. We had an absolutely action packed schedule and a wonderful time. Loved the penthouse.

Great, spacious condo located at the Sands of Kahana. We enjoyed our time here. Turtle watching, swiming in the ocean and great meals at Captain Jacks. :)

We had such a good trip to Maui and this property was a part of our wonderful vacation! It was super clean and everything felt nice and new. The kitchen was nicely stocked and the beds were comfortable. The cute little sleeper sofa on the enclosed lanai was a bonus. We loved drinking our coffee on the other lanai and watching the whales every morning! Check in and check out was easy.In addition, the property has a nice beach, grills close by, plenty of beach toys, and a pool that our kids loved. There's even a place by the pool to rent paddleboards, snorkel gear, etc. We would definitely stay here again.You do have to pay a resort fee when you check in - ours was 75. The only (small) issue we had was that the property advertises a lot of fun free classes, like lei-making and hula dancing, but wouldn't let us take them because we had rented through here instead of through the resort. It wasn't a huge deal but our kids were disappointed.

This property is absolutely perfect. Our family of 6 had more than enough room and there wasn’t anything we needed that the condo did not provide. We couldn’t be happier and would stay here again without hesitation.

We had an amazing stay at this property! The ocean view is simply breathtaking, with three balconies to choose from for taking in the scenery. From our balconies, we enjoyed watching turtles swimming near the beach and the stunning sunsets each evening. The beach is just a quick elevator ride away, making it incredibly convenient. The resort's restaurant bar, located adjacent to the pool, was a great spot for socializing and enjoying meals and drinks. The unit itself is exceptionally well-equipped with everything you need for cooking, including a large pantry and a well-stocked spice rack. The spacious living room, dining area, and bar area made our stay even more comfortable. With ample beds and pull-out sofas, the unit comfortably sleeps eight people. The air conditioning was adequate and kept us cool despite the August heat and humidity. We also appreciated the great Wi-Fi service throughout our stay. The unit is conveniently close to nearby beaches, and it came with a fantastic assortment of boogie boards, water toys, snorkel gear, floaters, and an ice chest. We even added a few pool noodles to the collection. Overall, this property exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to others. ---

We loved staying here. The views were amazing. Waking up each morning to the clear blue ocean and sea turtles swimming about made our stay extra magical. The condo was just as described, but even the description did not do it justice. We’ll definitely be booking here again.

Great views and accommodations on site

We loved our stay at 281. The location was incredibly convenient, the views were unrivaled, and the property manager was very responsive to our needs. My family’s only concern was that the patios were not clean upon our arrival, which limited the amount of time we spent out there. We understood that there are pigeons that frequent the patios but it would have been great if they were clean when we arrived. All other amenities were first class. Thank you.
