Doerner’s Corner - Ambassador Villas Unit 401

About the property:

Ambassador Villas is a multi-unit condo complex with nine - 2 story condos. 6 of these are ocean front and 3 are rear or side facing. Doerner’s Corner is one of three penthouse oceanfront condos, which occupy the 3rd and 4th floor of the complex.

There are 2 Bedrooms downstairs with a full guest bathroom located in the hallway between them. There is also another half bathroom that adjoins the living area. Large kitchen with 2 full sized refrigerators; we’ve found that most folks usually use one fridge for drinks and one for food. All appliances are brand new as of Spring 2022. We made sure to install a large single bowl kitchen sink, so we hope you enjoy that, too. Large dining room table (elevated so you can see out the sliding glass doors into the ocean) which comfortably seats up to 10. Smart/streaming capable TVs in all bedrooms and the living room features a 65’’ LED Smart TV for all your streaming needs. Sliding glass doors open to your private balcony which overlooks the ocean. There are 4 trex high lifeguard chairs on this balcony. There’s a storage closet located in the hallway for all your chairs and accessories. 7ft pool table is located in the game area in the front as soon as you walk in.

5 Bedrooms upstairs. Two master suites are located at the end of the hallway, with private bathrooms, and share a private balcony. There are 4 trex high lifeguard chairs on this balcony. One master suite has a king bed and one has a queen. There are 3 other rooms upstairs. The shared rooms has 3 twin XL beds and shares the hallway bathroom. The other bedroom has a queen bed and also shares the hallway bathroom. The room at the other end of the hall has a queen bed and it’s own private bathroom.

Guests receive 4 parking passes for the garage, it’s tight but very manageable if you’re careful….and it’s far better than most other parking garages around. The pool and hottub are small but they are fenced and feel very private. There is one outdoor shower spigot in the pool area and one outdoor shower spigot AND foot washing station located at the private beach access. Only guests of Ambassador Villas are able to access the beach via this access. Just outside the pool area is a charcoal grill if you would like to cook out.

There are two sets of stairs from the parking garage leading to the units. One is located near the dumpsters at the parking garage entrance and one is through the door just beyond the elevators. There are trolleys and/or carts located in the parking garage and usually found near the elevator. We apologize if you don’t see one, as sometimes guests take them to their units and don’t return them. If you stop at each floor, you will probably see one not being used.

Disclaimer: There is one elevator. While the elevator is well-maintained and reliable, the salt air is very hard on mechanical systems, so most to all elevators at the beach sometimes experience temporary shut downs. Although we want everyone to experience this property, please be advised that on these occasions all guests will need to ascend and descend three flights of stairs. We do not expect any issues and have been 100% up and running for 2023. Refunds will not be issued for lack of availability of the elevator. If you have guests with accessibility needs, please consider this before making reservation, refunds will not be issued.

The beach is a stone’s throw away, please enjoy your stay!


The Doerners

Ocean Drive Beach is located south of Cherry Grove and north of Crescent Beach. You're walking distance from Main Street, where there are many bars, restaurants, ice cream shops, and places to shop for beach necessities. There is also a Kroger less than a mile away. Farther down 17 to the north is Starbucks, Publix, Lowes, Walmart and most everything else you could ever need.

There are many ways to get to where you're going but the main two are Ocean Drive and 17. You can get to 17 one of two easier ways. One way is via Main St and one cut through is via 6th St.

Check In time is between 4 PM and 6 PM. We make every attempt to have your property available at 4 PM on arrival day, but circumstances occur where check in time may be later. We do not guarantee a 4 PM check in time. You must fill out Check-In Form and the Rental Agreement Form in order to receive Check-In Instructions. You must also pay your invoice prior to Check-In in order to receive your Check-In Instructions.

There is only one elevator. While the elevator is well-maintained and generally reliable, the salt air is very hard on mechanical systems, so it does experience problems occasionally. Although we want everyone to experience this property, please be advised that on these occasions all guests will need to ascend and descend three flights of stairs. Refunds will not be issued for lack of availability of the elevator. Also, the pool and/or hottub may be shut down at times throughout the year for general maintenance or any other repairs that need made. Refunds will not be given. If you have guests with accessibility needs, please consider this before making reservation, refunds will not be issued.

    BJ was an excellent host. I made request three times in the first two days and he responded immediately and positively. The house was clean and bright, well equipped kitchen, and seating area for both inside and outside. I really liked the high balcony seats giving a comfortable view of the ocean. BJ let us know early that our place was ready before the check in time so we took advantages of that.

    Fantastic Christmas holiday for 12 of us - 3 generations. Beautiful, cozy and clean. Lots of different places for us to be indoors all together (or in separate groups). Location was excellent for everything we wanted to do. Hope to be back.

    This place is perfect for large multigenerational families. Plenty of space for all 16 people in our large group. The onsite parking and elevator really helped make this place perfect for those in our group with mobility issues.

    We enjoyed the location and ability to walk to shops and restaurants. The room arrangements accommodated 17 family members with enough room for privacy and gatherings. The veranda’s were great for ocean viewing and sun sets and rises. We would recommend this property for a fabulous North Myrtle Beach vacation.
