Ocean View -KUL209 - West Maui Condo in Quiet Ocean Front Resort—1BR/1B

OK place to stay for the money. Decent location. Had a few issues and never could get a hold of anyone to help.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great 16-night stay at Kuleana 209! Although the unit is slightly dated (kitchen and bathroom could use a refresh), this larger than normal Kuleana 1-bedroom is nicely appointed with great local art, everything needed for the kitchen, beach chairs and beach towels for beach adventures! Cristina from Destination Maui was great to work with and addressed our few questions promptly.

The beautiful view and charming condo are as described. There isn't really beach access as it is very rocky there, but oh, what a view! Made me happy just to look out the patio door! The condo itself was meticulously clean, which I appreciate! It isn't brand new, for sure, but that just added to the charm for me! Location wise, it is quiet and convenient. About a 10 minute drive to Lahaina and less to amazing beaches ! There are fun places to eat within walking distance. I was glad we had a car though.

An understated (and slightly outdated) resort, close (but mostly a drive) to amenities (restaurants, beaches) . Gorgeous grounds. Simple and not fancy, but quiet, peaceful, and largely very nice.

Comfortable and nice view.

This rental had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation for our family of 4. Appreciated the beach chairs/sun umbrella and cooler for our road trips through Maui and beach days (the umbrella was a little temperamental, missing a couple pins that hold the frame mechanism, but did the job!) The grounds and views are 10/10. Seeing the whales in the distance was a daily highlight. We enjoyed having coffee/breakfast/some lunch and dinners on the outside patio. Walking down to the shoreline for sunset was our favorite way to end the day. Kitchen was well equipped for what we needed. We enjoyed the heated pool very much. We also used the laundry facilities on property and were happy with them as well. For a family of 4 we were supplied 4 bath towel/washcloth sets and 4 beach towels, personally would have liked to have 2 per person for a 8 night stay but we made time for laundry. The unit is a bit dated and some staining along the ceiling (perhaps from water leaks). The walls could use a good cleaning, some patching and fresh paint. The unit we shared the wall with is in the process of being renovated and men were working during the daytime hours. We left most days and were not bothered with them. The a/c in the bedroom works great if you shut the door and are only cooling the bedroom. Its not a sufficient unit to cool the entire place. As long as its cool enough to sleep I’m fine and don’t necessarily need a/c so this worked for us. Would stay at this resort again, possibly picking a more updated unit.

Loved the location and access to the water where we snorkeled and watched the sun set each day. Had just about everything we could want or need (except coffee filters for the coffee pot, but our neighbors hooked us up).

We much enjoyed our stay. Property was in a perfect location, everything was super clean, kitchen well supplied and the bed was comfortable. Highly recommend.

209 is a main floor unit set back from ocean front with a lovely view of the water over well manicured gardens. The unit is very spacious and well appointed. The AV was adequate once we got it figured out and added a cable to him up our music. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly come back here on another trip to Maui.
