Ocean-Sunset Views at Ilikai Hotel Island Retreat w/Great Building Amenities

The host provided all the information we needed and was very responsive. The location is wonderful and the water view is amazing! The unit had everything you needed and wonderful air conditioning! The building itself had a coffee shop, restaurant, mini mart and other services!

Everything we’re perfect, we loved the unit, we felt like home. Except one thing, the living room set is too old and it’s itchy in the skin already.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Honolulu was a beautiful destination with lovely people but condo was disappointing, did not look like the pictures, clean but rundown and could do with some updating. Rust and buildup of dirt around air vents and water sprinklers, chipped paintwork throughout.

Truly a great location, as advertised, and a historic hotel that has a lot of charm. The view is great! Bell man is great as well who even brought up groceries to the room. Everything about the stay there was great.

I have stayed in Waikiki many times and decided to VRBO this time. I am so glad that I made the decision. Such a lovely place. Wish I would’ve done it sooner.

We loved the views! Every morning, we'd sit on the patio and watch the sun rise, listening to the waves and the chiming of the ropes on the boats down in the marina. The hotel is located in a busy area -- lots of options for affordable food and shopping, easy walking distance all the way down Waikiki, and easy access to one of the prettiest part of the beach. Staff was excellent. Services were excellent. Easy to recommend and we'd be happy to stay here again!

Beautiful view. Very clean. Well appointed. Just a few things that we see as needed changes. No cutting board to be found. Coffee not provided. Taking out trash was awkward. I believe this should be done by cleaning staff. Elevators SUPER slow. We had to evacuate two mornings for fire issues. First one clearly had smoke and heard a microwave exploded. Evacuation handled extremely well by staff. Second one, no smell of smoke and no explanation. Upsetting as it was 7:00 AM.

Pictures do not tell the story...such beautiful sunsets from the balcony overlooking the harbor, comfortable seating, convenient food choices and store in lobby. Perfection!

Located just adjacent to the lagoon in Waikiki. Highly walkable to beaches and city. The floorplan is super family friendly. We spent lots of time on the balcony watching the water and the action below. Beds and bedding very nice quality, and a couple extra shower towels were available, and pool towels for all. Also the unit had beach chairs and a cooler which came in incredibly handy to us. We had some climate control challenges (primarily user error) and the management was very responsive. It’s cooled with ceiling fans and individual AC units and there were additional oscillating floor fans in both bedroom closets to help keep cool breezes flowing. Valet parking was notably efficient. Key code entry to the unit was also easy. The age may not come through in the photos. It’s not all shiny new. The building has a cafe, a market, an ice cream shop, and more all in the lobby. We loved our stay here and appreciated the many very positive aspects to our stay.

Perfect condo for my small family. Close enough to the Waikiki hub, but far enough away to not deal with crowds! My little one was a big fan of the 10 min walk to the beach!
