Ocean House 1506 3 bd / 3 ba, Gulf-front condo!

Loved our time there. It was perfect for the 4 of us. Beds were very comfortable. The unit had about everything we needed. Loved the pool! It was close to everything and since we went on the off season there were no long lines or traffic There was an issue with the sliding door to the balcony. It was very hard to close. We texted management and they were quick to come and fix it. They oiled the track but it only lasted a day. The air conditioner was loud in the second bedroom with the Queen bed and may need to be looked at. We visit Gulf Shores every year and this will be our go to home away from home. Can't wait to go back

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great, but the condo itself had some issues. In one of the bathrooms, the vanity siding was peeling up by the toilet. We had to wear our shoes throughout because our feet were black from the dirty floors when we arrived. The kitchen has very little cooking and no grilling utensils. And we didn’t feel their was much information given about the rules of the condo itself, so much that we had a very inappropriate encounter with the condo security one evening.

We really enjoyed the spaciousness of the rooms and living area. The kitchen seems small when we were all in it! It could definitely use some updating but we had a great time and would stay there again.

However, the overall stay was less than we desired. Security staff was rude! There were three of us wanting our parking passes at 4:30, prime time for people coming in. However, the two security people were sitting in the office talking and told us they were too busy to get them. Come back in an hour! Who are they serving? And when leaving in a blowing rain they told us we could not load under the building, not very friendly.And then there was the smoking. I observed 3 balconies lighting it up and several smoking by the pool. Not enjoyable sitting on balcony with the terrible smell of cigarette and cigar smoke. Where is the security controlling that? Oh they were probably in a meeting. Not sure that I will return to Ocean House. We've been there several times, but this time probably did us in.

We had an amazing time in Gulf Shores. This condo was great. We had no issues our entire stay.

Arrived on Wednesday afternoon to find the elevator out of order - after 5 trips up 5 flights of stairs to get our belongings into the condo everything else was perfect! The view was amazing, the layout of the condo was perfect for our family. The pool was so nice. The grounds were very clean and taken care of. The condo location is excellent for all the local restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay - will definitely return and we highly recommend!!
