Stayed Jun 4, 2018Beautiful property - property manager was always helpful and provided everything needed. 25 steps to the beach and within 5 minutes of all the west maui attractions without being right in the middle of all the touristy stuff. Farmers market across the street was an additional bonus! You gotta go here!

Stayed Jun 18, 2025I love going to Maui, specifically Honokawai. This condo is in a great location. You can swim in the pool or the ocean. The views sitting on the the lanai are lovely. I am not a big fan of fighting for space outside, like you do at the big resorts, so this place is perfect in my opinion. This was my 3rd stay at the Kale Kai and it won’t be my last.

Had to have the dish washer controls cleaned to operate. Killed five **** roaches and some ants.

Stayed Feb 11, 2025Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is an old condo which had minimal upgrades. Cockroach dead on the bathroom floor on the first day, kitchen functional, at best. Bedroom at least had a ceiling fan, there is no air-conditioning. Very crowded community..long waits for everything. We left two days early.

This particular unit is ground floor with ocean view off the patio and front door is right on the pathway to the pool and bbqs. The property is all well maintained. Customer service is great. This unit itself is very run down. Has most all amenities and great location in the complex. Needs some TLC. There is a new owner; a new chair & sofa bed were delivered recently so perhaps they are in the middle of fixing up. Sleeps 4 adults comfortably. Or 3 adults & 2 little ones.

They were perfect, not too big, location was great, many places within walking distance. My two sons rented out 2 more condos at this complex and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our condo was well equipped and clean. Great experience
